"Eh, long post about clans.
CT was a great contributor to the golden days of the clan world, an innovator of his time, he really brought excitement to clans. However, don't fool yourself, he did not single handily do any of it. CT may very well be the best leader ever on ROBLOX, but that doesn't mean he 'made' the clan world.
The slowing of the clan world has occurred for many reasons, CT leaving only being a minor one. Clans have reached their innovative ceiling, while ROBLOX continues to push for development and the world of developers continues to expand, the clan world still lacks the experienced and multitudinous developers it needs to make its creations up to par, or even exciting and fun. There was a time when front paging a base wasn't so hard, there was a time when creations were exciting, a time when the terminal was first invented, or a credits system was first used, or an armory was first implemented. All of that is long in the past, we've reached out developmental ceiling as clans, and ROBLOX isn't helping much with no new meaningful additions to clans.
That, with the inevitable decline of great established clans (UAF, VS, RAT, UCR, FC, VAK, TGI, WIJ, TRA, SC, FEAR) - yes all great clans in their prime, most of them still great now, but all have declined at least a bit. The decline was inevitable, their original leaders have all but departed, their original member base has started to fade out and with the extreme presence of veterans in the HICOM, it makes it harder for new people to get in. Not to mention, the aforementioned developmental halt and lack of funds spread among clans to grow themselves has really affected the clan world poorly. There was a time when it was easy to rise a super clan, the ad system wasn't flooded with poor quality content, front paging a base wasn't so bad and there weren't as many clans, so it was easier to attract members, not to mention it wasn't as hard to make the front page of clans. Now, rising up a respectable super clan is NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE. You say no super clan has risen since CT left, well many have, but you wouldn't care for them, most of them got there from popular games and FR/limited item ads - one of the only ways to gain mass members with the limited money supply these days. So, in the end, with no new clans rising up in a respectable fashion, and the inevitable decline of old great clans, the clan world is faltering.
All of these things contributed to the fall of the clan world and the opposite of them - an extremely high developmental ceiling in clans, the newness of the feature, the easiness of rising up a successful clan, the lack of polarization of clans on C&G/need for a clan to be liked here to be considered successful, the newness of leaders and founders and the less funding needed to make things possible contributed to the rise of clans. To me, innovators like Justgoaway1 (started the trend of technology for clans, rose up VS faster than any other clan), SilentSwords (continued the trend of technology with clans), Vaktus (showed that you didn't need numbers to have a powerful clan and that power clans could, in fact, work), Castellian (created the rivalry of power clans), Benblue9 (created hype around themed clans and the soviet UAF, a cult following movement), Tonitoni (created the most active clan at the time) and even Pspjohn1 (offered a villain to the clan world, and a successful one at that, despite the drawbacks of the clan) all contributed equally to that of ColourTheory in terms of maintaining the success of the clan world at the time. That's not even mentioning that the top leaders themselves contributed to the success than the circumstances and room for development among all other things I mentioned before. Not to mention, you seem to be using the fact that many of these clans were under the RWI as justification for the dominance of RAT - no one can deny the dominance of RAT at the time, but the RWI was merely an alliance, and that isn't exactly relevant to who maintained the clan world.
ColourTheory was a great leader, but he didn't single handily contribute to the rise or fall of the clan world. Him among others, among other circumstances did."
