I know what your thinking ''remove comments? that will never happen!!!'' I know this type of thread has been posted numerous times before, but I want to try to reinforce the idea of removing comments. Lets get started.
We all know of those noobs who go on the comments and put stuff like ''VISIT MY PLACE FOR FREE VIP!'' ''VISIT MY 18+ PLACE!'' ''JOIN ME FOR FREE PLAYER POINTS!!'' ''POST THIS ON 5 ITEMS AND LOOK AT YOUR MONEY!'' The list goes on and on.
To proove how much spam, Im going to make a chart on popular games to see what people are Actually talking about in the game.
Lets start with Apocolypse Rising. After looking at 50 comments, here is data I collected ''Visit My Place'':34 Flaming:2 Send Me Trades: 5 Other Spam:4 Actually about the game: 6
Next we will look at another popular game, Survive the Disasters. 21 comments reviewed DATA: ''Visit My Place'':15 Flaming:0 Post this on 5 games to ___: 1 Other Spam:4 Actually about the game: 1
Do you see the pattern now? People are only using the comments section to either A. Advertise their game B. Just spam in general
TL;DR= People aren't using the comments to actually talk about the game |

Creators have the option of removing the comments, but the comments are infested with spam.
My idea: the creator of the game can delete comments and name moderators that can do the same.
(This one is more time consuming and the creator may not even try)
My other idea: the creator of the game can add an option in which other players report a comment for flame, spam, etc. The creator would see the report, see what it was for, and determine if it should be deleted. A comment can only be reported once to reduce the amount of reports the creator gets. And maybe, the owner can name moderators to help with the reports.
(This one is more efficient and would be easy to run)
Heck. I might make this into my own thread. |

No. If you don't want to see spam comments and would rather not see comments at all, don't look at them. They're very useful for reviews on the subject they are intended to pertain to.

I agree with this, soo.. Support. I also like the idea someone else had, where you can delete comments. I support that one, too. |
