"why the NSA is spying on our computers"
Well, with all the recent terror attacks, its actually a good idea. Most likely, many possible terror attempts have been negated due to the fact that we are monitoring what they're doing.
Its the same thing parents do. Parents put safeties on their kids computers, to monitor what they're doing and making sure they don't get into something they shouldn't.
If you'd like some guy to look up how to make a bomb, without anyone knowing, go try to make your idiotic comment into a bill. |

Oh my god, you're so naïve.... Someone could pretend to be some good loyal citizen, and then the moment the NSA takes down there cameras, they look up how to make a bomb, or start talking with other bad people.
If you haven't done anything you weren't supposed to, then you don't need to worry about them snooping deep into your files. |

"In this country you have people of all genders, shapes, colors, attractions, and they're all accepted! In some countries, women aren't allowed to vote! In some countries, if they aren't straight! This country is the best one on earth, and you all dislike it because you wish to live in it."
>Genders Glass ceiling, nuclear family, gender roles, political attendance of female staffers (most of which work secretarial positions), misogyny and objectification (or in recent news, Elliot Rodger)
>Shapes Ever seen a commercial? Try it some time.
>Colours Yeah, totally - because TopConservativeNews loves anyone that isn't a walking piece of chalk with an ancient book in his hand. Did I mention Coloured Employment Quotas?
>Attractions no.
>In some countries, women aren't allowed to vote! In the US, they can vote - surely. That is, if they can afford to get to the voting place while caring for 4 unexpected children she never consensually had.
>In some countries, if they aren't straight! In my state, I'm legally on the other team and have been barred from participating in any state or local politics and denied work several times for fear I might corrupt my co-workers. Nice try.
>This country is the best one on earth, and you all dislike it because you wish to live in it. Is that why our country has such a low happiness index and a torn up economy and the highest concentration of depressive disorders? (e.g. I'm diagnosed with Major Pessimistic Depressive Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) |

and on the comment of major v. minor "terrorist attacks" - on the same day as:
Boston Bombing - 5 killed, 280 injured Car Bomb in Iraq - 600 killed, 1600 injured
Your logic: "US > Iraq, therefore US Citizen > Iraqi Citizen" Your logic is the flawed idea that you can laugh at other countries but feel butt-hurt the moment someone does the same thing in the US (no matter how minuscule). |

"22 million women are r_ped in the U.S. each year[1], excluding the ones unreported (only about 46% of sxual assault against women have been reported to authorities[2])."
yet you can easily learn to defend yourself no ones fault if that women didn't report it to the fricken police

"yet you can easily learn to defend yourself"
Get you and your sxual violence apologism bull off of this thread. Maybe if you actually tried to curb violence against women by educating men more on the issue this wouldn't be a problem.
"no ones fault if that women didn't report it to the fricken police"
It's the perpetrator's fault you despicable slug.
Besides, many victims experience distrust, anxiety, phobias, etc. after enduring such a traumatic experience. They're also 3 times more likely to suffer from depression, 6 times more likely to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, 14 times more likely to abuse alcohol, 26 times more likely to abuse drugs, and 4 times more likely to contemplate suicide[1].

Subtracting from the general stereotype that assault only happens to women (which it does not) and the fact he is ignoring scenarios, I would like to expand on the thought in a more general format.
When a woman is assaulted, let's follow the steps: 1. Threat identified 2. Cortisol and Adrenaline released 3. Increased heart rate, tunnel vision, dilation, reduced rationality... 4. Flight > Fight 5. If captured, Fight > Flight 6. Empathic response (crying, pleading) 7. If final resort failed, natural human response to over-exertion is rest 8. Continual bursts of anger until catatonic coping mechanism kicks in 9. Stockholm Syndrome may set in 10. Proverbial out of sight, out of mind mentality may set in
When a man assaults, let's follow the steps: 1. Target identified 2. Implications weighed, releasing cortisol and adrenaline 3. Increased heart rate, tunnel vision, dilation, reduced rationality... 4. Testosterone released alongside similar hormones 5. Blood flow increased, alertness modified, rationality fluctuates negatively 6. Negative or apathetic response to empathy 7. Natural human response to assure dominance 8. Repeat step 7 9. Dissociative disorders may set in 10. Positive or egotistical complex may form centring the event (cancelling Step 9)
Please also remember that the assaulter or the victim can both feel regret after this situation. Dissociative disorders are frequent with sxual assault cases leading to situational amnesia and fawn responses to mental imaging of the event. |
