Im wondering if it's possible to create an outer coating of armor on an npc that is semi-resistant to all guns and explosives and makes NPCs more difficult to kill? I know that it's possible to reduce the blast pressure of some explosives on roblox to make welds stand up to them a bit more, but can you actually create a type of armor on an npc that affords them some protection? Can you also make it so that this outer "coating" can be destroyed by fire-arms?

Npoppy, that's not quite what I had in mind. Thank you for trying to answer my question, but I have known that since day one. What I had in mind was to make it POSSIBLE to kill the npc, but coat it in "invincible" bricks that mostly protect the npc, save a few spots. I can't settle for anything less than that. Obsolete Coolguy, if you do need to script heavily to achieve this idea, then by means of what kind of scripts would you need? I am willing to even script myself if that is what it takes.

That IS a brilliant idea! Why didn't I think of a force-field before?! Can anyone show me a script that applies a force-field to the npc indefinitely? But also make it so that only certain weapons can damage the npc through the force-field, and not lower it, so that other "weaker" weapons will still have to deal with the force-field? Can you also make the force-field invisible to the player? One more thing: can you script a gun so that when it's bullet hits and damages a player or npc, it disables the Health script?

Make a force field appear for 10 seconds, and then give 10 seconds to attack.

First of all, I don't even know how to give it a force-field. Second, I can't just give the player ten seconds to attack it, I need the force-field to last forever!

I will explain what I need for my NPC a second time.
Yes, I do want my npc to be resistant to rockets and guns. What I have in mind is to give it a force-field, but the only problem is that I do not know how to give it one. I am also wondering if there any way to script some guns so that they can penetrate a force-field? Help is much appreciated. |
