The process in my opinion is really quite simple to be honest Here, let me explain it to the point so everyone can understand...
--Behold, goldfishmemories' PLAN FOR ROBLOX ASCENSION--
Step 0: ROBLOX develops it's engine behind the scenes without releasing it. Key things that it needs to do: -- Make the ROBLOX engine required download to play ROBLOX games. -- Make it runnable by on sites with ROBLOX games on them and that make it compatible with the new ROBLOX engine (like Unity, or Java is) -- ROBLOX Studio stays the same.
Step 1: ROBLOX makes an announcement that servers will be temporarily shut down for a week to a month (time for development but since the changes won't be too large and most development will be done most of the time is for shock value).
Step 2: Once ROBLOX is closed they edit the site, adding in these changes: -- Remove the liquid games page. Replace it with Official ROBLOX Games page (every game that ROBLOX has ever bought from a kid ROBLOX developer will be here in different categories; Top Favorites, Top Paid, Top Earning, Most People Online (Popular) (it's basically the same). The other part of the games page shows regular games that were not bought by ROBLOX because of these reasons: 1. Not appealing to them. 2. Is a tribute game/not original (like Dragonball Z games, Pokemon games, etc...) 3. Does not earn enough. 4. Has not noticed it. 5. Does not have a graphic (made) image to showcase it.
-- Make it so that Bought Places disappear from the creator's webpage and are relinked to somewhere else (another site if that site buys the game). They still show the developer who made it though. This is so that ROBLOX gets full rights to the place.
-- For Bought Places: - 1 TIX per 1 visit to developer - 1 ROBUX per 1000 visits to developer - 5 ROBUX per 10000 visits to developer - 10 ROBUX per 100000 visits to developer - $1 to account per 1000000 visits to developer (these are all working at once)
-- Make it so that games that were bought by another site (after being relinquished from the original developer) get to have it only on their own site. So clicking the place from your favorites or Games page takes you to their site to play it and using your ROBLOX engine (works like a Unity engine) the ROBLOX game works there, too. Party chat and online bar at the bottom is added to that specific site webpage as well as the top ROBLOX toolbar if you are online when you're playing. ROBLOX is basically expanding to other sites.
-- Add the Builders' Club Exchange agreement. - Used when ROBLOX buys a Place from a developer. - The gist of it is that ROBLOX has the entirity of rights to the Place in exchange for a Builders' Club membership, if the Place gets a bug that they can't fix, you must fix it within a week or the membership expires unless you have another Bought Place on the Games list whereas you only get demoted, and that the membership expires when all the Bought Places you created stop working or break without repairs. 1 Bought Place = Builders' Club 2 Bought Places = Turbo Builders' Club 3 Bought Places = Outrageous Builders' Club
-- Non BC users can still change their usernames and now can also buy Place slots and group slots for an intimidating sum of money but for real life money that they use by buying ROBLOX cards or online purchases to their account. Catalog Items also have real life prices independent from regular items (could be resolved by making a price for each item manually or using a formula based on ROBLOX money value). Daily TIX log-in bonus stays the same. Price Floor stays the same.
-- Builders' Club privileges INCREASE (not decrease) to make it more appealing. They can decide themselves how they want it to increase, but it cannot stay how it is.
-- Accounts that had BC when ROBLOX goes down get the Royalty when they come back (+1 ROBUX log-in bonus, 10 Groups, 10 Places), TBC = TBC Royalty (+5 ROBUX log-in bonus, 20 Groups, 20 Places), OBC = OBC Royalty (+20 ROBUX log-in bonus, 50 groups, 50 Places). The Groups and Places get cut in half and the Royalty goes down to 1 ROBUX per month for BCR, 2 ROBUX per month for TBCR, and 3 ROBUX per month for OBCR after it wears off which is twice as long as their BC was supposed to last.
-- ROBLOX adds an in-game coding and developing tutorial so that any Player can learn how to develop great games. The tutorial needs to give Players at least the basics of everything and needs to be a part of ROBLOX Studio. I was thinking ROBLOX teaches the Player how to make a default place with coding and landscapes inside of it and walks them through the creation of all the scripts and landscaping while explaining things. This will be the hardest part of the update.
Step 3: ROBLOX re-opens with these changes and launches a new add campaign that stresses developing games to become famous.
This is how the system basically works: -Someone builds a good game. -ROBLOX sees good game. -ROBLOX offers fame and Builders' Club to that someone in exchange to rights to that game. -ROBLOX sells that game to another site so that THAT site can become famous and make money based on all the visits that it gets. -The Someone who sold the game ends becoming extremely rich and also famous for building the game. -The cycle repeats itself.
Because of the hype for all the money and fame, people will WANT to build games even more. ROBLOX will also be expanding and making money off of other sites until it becomes as influential as Unity or Java except it's an MMO that has it's own game building engine.
One big disadvantage is what it takes to integrate this system (the temporary shut-down) however, but I think it's worth it.
Since the game does not sell ROBUX or Builders' Club it cannot be hacked that way. You'd HAVE to develop to become rich.
The tutorial also makes it easier to learn how to build Places.
The expansion and money will help ROBLOX grow. ROBLOX can use this as a basic blueprint but also expand the idea so it can work in real time.
I believe it could work. Other sites can make money off of ROBLOX games.
----------------------------------------------------- Now, you can see that this idea on quite a grand scale If you have any questions, arguments, fixes, or want me to elaborate, please entail.

I think I'll support this time around.
I think that this would really help ROBLOX. Price ranges should be like this for an example: Shaggy = $.10 Beautiful Hair for Beautiful People = $.95 Bandit = $.45 Dominus = $1,000.00
I can't come up with a formula but they should make formula create these kinds of price ranges.
And like ruin3ds said before we could play ROBLOX at school with this addition (unless the school bans anything related to ROBLOX)
Don't forget about the second contract idea for when ROBLOX sells a game to a site. |

Glad you saw it my way Kudos to you (ha ha I'm punny)
I think I'll describe how the system works in more detail --------------------------------------------- Let's say that I'm an aspiring developer who just joined ROBLOX. I decide to download ROBLOX Studio and it walks me through a tutorial to create a Place win code and landscapes. During this time I learn everything I need to know to make an awesome Place. And so I do... It gets over a million visits in a week after its creation. After a month it has 1 million favorites and 10 million visits. ROBLOX sees it has been at the top of the list for a while and becomes interested, so the next time I log on I find a notification in the message box:
"Hello, goldfishmemories! Your place has gained the attention of ROBLOX administrators We view your Place as a credit to the ROBLOX systematic and we view it at its full potential. That is why we would like to BUY it from you with a dream of fame, riches, and items and in time, you could become an icon! Please check this box that says you agree to the Builders' Club Exchange agreement and then Accept of Decline.
Build on!"
After I accept, I gain Builders' Club and not to mention a huge sum of tix and ROBUX, which grows as my Place becomes more popular.
Afterwards, ROBLOX sells my game to an ambitious website wanting to make money with my game. ROBLOX sells it to the site for, let's say, $250. I get 10% of the money that was gained added to my account by the Builders' Club Exchange agreement. As ROBLOXians play the game from that site, it gets paid by the government for it's popularity and that site makes money as well. The cycle continues...
Let's go to a different scenario, Let's say I'm a ROBLOXian who just joined and does not want to build. I just play games and other things. I can buy ROBLOX cards or online and add money to my account. I use that money to directly buy items and place slots, group slots, etc for myself. Or I could wait for my daily log-in bonus. Or both. As I play games from the Bought Games page I get taken to different websites and essentially make the system work. (I'd like to add a suggestion to my idea: +1 tix added to the log in Bonus the next day for every hour spent playing games (it stacks i.e. +1 tix for one hour, +2 tix for two hours, etc) Playing Games keeps the system going as much as building games so You must encourage it, ROBLOX) I can't be super rich without building, but I'm not poor.
---------------------------
Q: Why are you giving away so much tix and robux A: Because you can't get it with real money. Since it's not being compared to real money, it's value is not compared to real currency, therefore it cannot inflate. It is now only something you need to achieve in-game features and not something you spend real money to get.
Q: What if I become to ambitious and try to sell my games myself? A: You can't. Partly because you can't alter the ROBLOX website and the other part is because it would be part of the Terms and Conditions not to.
Q: What would happen to the already BCers? A: They just get royalties, but no longer BC privileges. They get everything they had for being an old BC member but since the new Builders' Club is exclusive and much more high class it still would make them want to develop more.
Q: What happens to the Place slot when I sell my place? A: It just comes back.
Q: Why can we buy Place slots A: ROBLOX can not hinder their developer's ability to build. It's nonsense.
Q: How will this affect NBCers. A: ROBLOX is now part build-to-win and part pay-to-win, but money income would overally increase with this update for everyone. (Except maybe old BCers).
My final addition is that ROBLOX can somehow find a way to help kid developers get real opportunities later in life to become real developers using this experience as a sort of thing you can put on your résumé.

This was a good read. I assume this is from an older thread though based on the kind of posts you've been making.
I must say, this idea sounds absolutely brilliant. But wait until a BCer comes to this thread and reads it. I do not want to be here for that flame.
I fully support and you sir are a genius! |

This is the only thread on S&I so far that I've found interesting enough to reply to. (That and since it took me so long to read it I thought I might as well)
Let me first say that even though I remember you trolling this thread brought up my respect for you something big. ROBLOX will have struck gold when they find this thread. Basically ROBLOX games will become like flash games with this update. But it's also a lot more than that.
I support. Now we wait and watch ROBLOX put Flash player out of business.

this idea > all the money If ROBLOX does this they will have all the money and more.
Support. And if ROBLOX gains this much influence over the internet then we could put "built a successful ROBLOX place as jacktrademenson121323" on our resumes when we apply for a coding job as 25 year old metro xu ls :P |

| I didn't read all of it, but I do support this. But we are not allowed to be selling virtual assets for real money here as noted on the "READ THESE RULES" Pinned Forum Post on the LMAD Forum. |

Thanks for all the support. SuperHero thanks for advertising. I would myself but I'd catch a lot of flak lol.
@likeCarter Do you mean us selling stuff or ROBLOX selling stuff? |
