Hello fellow Robloxians, I've been using studio for the past few days, and it's worked absolutely no problem. Until today. Every single unanchored part of every single model just breaks off the moment I insert the models. I've had a few issues with infections, and I've tried a script remover and several individual infection removers, and I'm not sure whether it's a virus or one of those removers that's messing it up, but it happens even after I take the removers out. It's highly irritating, as I use a lot of vehicles, and these contain a lot of unanchored parts, and they all break apart.
Please help, all suggestions welcome.

| If you're not using welds, unanchored bricks should break apart. |

| They're not my models, they're cars, rail vehicles etc built by others, which I've seen in action without any welds, they're attached by hinges mostly, so they should stay together. |

They may have had weld scripts in them which the 'virus removers' took out.
I use Crazyman32's Auto Weld script. Just be careful not to put in in models with parts that have to move like wheels. Many models like this have a Chassis or frame model that the script can be put in, with the wheels attached to the model so they don't get welded by the script. |

| Ah yeah, good point, hadn't thought of that. I'll try resetting my places to earlier, pre script versions, and have a go there. I've heard of that welding technique, I'll see if I can treat one or two models to get them welded and working. |

| Bump, I made a brand new place and tried inserting the models, but they kept breaking apart. Could it be an issue with studio, or am I missing something obvious here? |

maybe you have a certain command looping endlessly. I ruled that it must be a local factor because my copy still works fine.
It might also be auto position, but then anyone else who uses that model would feel the same effects.
I personally hand-weld stuff, so...
In conclusion, if all is still going wrong, purge your add-ons and plugins (if you have some) and reset your settings on studio. If this still doesn't work, try file repair (windows), or simply reinstalling Roblox.
It's not the first time I've seen corrupted Roblox files. Once my copy rendered everything as the color institutional white. It hurt my eyes. :D |

| I don't use add ons or plugins, so I'll just reinstall studio. That institutional white problem sounds hellish, unless you were going for a snowstorm look. :P |

I would say the script you used to remove the virus might look for welds as well and remove them also.
A roblox virus isn't a real virus. It's just a malicious script that floods your parts with objects.
Unless you can go back to a previous save you would have to weld the stuff again.
This is the same script shown 3 times. The difference is the name of the object. It can remove most roblox virus's, just change the name to what your parts are full of. Put it in command bar with your game opened in studio and hit enter.
1
while Game:FindFirstChild("Weld", true) or Game:FindFirstChild("Spread", true) do (Game:FindFirstChild("Weld", true) or Game:FindFirstChild("Spread", true)):Remove() end
2
while Game:FindFirstChild("dåååååååååååååång.........you got owned...", true) or Game:FindFirstChild("Spread", true) do (Game:FindFirstChild("dåååååååååååååång.........you got owned...", true) or Game:FindFirstChild("Spread", true)):Remove() end
3
while Game:FindFirstChild("OH SNAP YOU GOT INFECTED XD XD XD", true) or Game:FindFirstChild("Spread", true) do (Game:FindFirstChild("OH SNAP YOU GOT INFECTED XD XD XD", true) or Game:FindFirstChild("Spread", true)):Remove() end |
