The windows thingy usually on the bottom left is now on the top right, and the open applications usually appearing at the bottom isn't there at all

The open applications list appears below the Windows XP sign. The various things like internet connectivity appear below the windows XP sign as well

Right click the taskbar, and make sure it's not locked. Then you can click and drag the taskbar to move it to its new home. |

It isn't locked, but it still won't move an inch...except for resizing it horizontally
It goes all the way up the screen as well

Can you show us a screenshot? Click-and-drag to the bottom of the screen should have moved it.
Right click the taskbar, and hit properties. It may let you move it from there, but I can't remember. |

That worked now
Print screen doesn't seem to take a screenshot like Microsoft says it does. If it is I can't find it. But the problem has been solved. Thanks
