How much proof do you need to ban any alleged exploiters?
I currently have video proof of a server that's been tampered by two criminals, whom have put their names all around the server.
I have one of them, who was on TODAY, which was when I found the hacked server:
http://www.roblox.com/User.aspx?ID=61144223
The other one, obviously an idiot, was in the Complex, but the video evidence shows his name. _
Is that, along with the video, enough proof?! Or will I be ignored for no reason? _

Do not waste your time. I've sent them two vids of an exploiter and he's still doing what he wants.
It's pointless. No amount of proof is enough. |

You're being ignored for going around the standard procedure for reporting someone. You're going to be banned or warned for personally attacking someone on the forums.
Don't come here on a rant and acting like it's unfair and you're a white knight in a seat of love and compassion that makes everything you said automatically the first priority dude. Hackers will inevitably slip through the cracks, especially when there's so many hackers as well as so many little kids on games that'll report "hacking" when they lose. It's hard to sift the real from the fake, and when the mods commonly have to go off word of mouth it doesn't typically work out.
Even if you did report it would take a long time for it to reach the Moderation team and by then it would probably be long in the past. |

@Landish
That's completely idiotic.
The server was completely unplayable, their names were slandered everywhere, and they still walk around?
I call BS to that, ROBLOX. It sickens me how you decide to go and act as if you can do whatever the hell you want towards this crap.
I'm shocked to see what the moderators do for the rest of their miserable lives. |

They told me to contact info@roblox.

'You're being ignored for going around the standard procedure for reporting someone. You're going to be banned or warned for personally attacking someone on the forums.'
Personal attacks? I simply asked if there's specific amount of PROOF needed.
'Don't come here on a rant and acting like it's unfair and you're a white knight in a seat of love and compassion that makes everything you said automatically the first priority dude.'
Acting like it's unfair? It's obviously unfair. Have you seen the rampage these low-lives have gone through? Then when someone has legitimate proof, it's turned down for no obvious reason.
'Hackers will inevitably slip through the cracks, especially when there's so many hackers as well as so many little kids on games that'll report "hacking" when they lose.'
ROBLOX needs to implement something that can help crack down on them, then. To hell with the standard reporting system, if it's a legitimate exploit, IP ban.
It's sickening how they can't just make another email for this. Yes, it may cost money, but think of the change.
'It's hard to sift the real from the fake, and when the mods commonly have to go off word of mouth it doesn't typically work out.'
Refer to above.
'Even if you did report it would take a long time for it to reach the Moderation team and by then it would probably be long in the past.'
Like I'll report. I know how it goes, I report, nothing. It's disgusting. |

Oh shut up kid. Have you no knowledge of how these things work? You've never tried to balance 100,000 kids and teens with a team of maybe a thousand. You've never had to deal with those things. The mods have a well paying job on a 'terrible' game that you seem to enjoy enough to play for 4 years, they have benefits and make a decent pay. They get to work in a great envirornment and work in the career path of their choice. But you're right, guy behind a computer screen calling names and having a limited understanding of how anything really functions in a community like this, they live a miserable life.

Personal attacks? I simply asked if there's specific amount of PROOF needed.
You posted their names, and gave a link to one of their accounts. You insulted them and pointed public interest towards them in a negative way. What's your definition of a personal attack? Because that certainly fits the description.
Acting like it's unfair? It's obviously unfair. Have you seen the rampage these low-lives have gone through? Then when someone has legitimate proof, it's turned down for no obvious reason.
I just told you the very obvious reason. There's a small team of devs and mods working against a bustling crowd of children. As long as the interest to hack is there it's going to happen, and you're going to have to accept it. You have no idea how patching/coding/site management/any form of crowd control works.
ROBLOX needs to implement something that can help crack down on them, then. To hell with the standard reporting system, if it's a legitimate exploit, IP ban.
They already do IP bans. They IP banned Jaredvaldez, you were obviously around for that.
It's sickening how they can't just make another email for this. Yes, it may cost money, but think of the change.
It costs ALLOT of money. They'd have to hire a secondary team or make their current team overwork. When they have to pay an extra $14/hour and give them all these benefits it's certainly not worth it. Think of the change? Like it or not, they're a buisness. Plus, hacking and exploiting is always going to be a problem. They're just tearing a hole in the code and it's literally unavoidable. As long as someone with the skill level to manipulate code with a third party program exists, they will. And you can bet they'll make a video or two about it to cash in on the ad revenue.
Like I'll report. I know how it goes, I report, nothing. It's disgusting.
What's disgusting is seeing someone like you come on the forums and act like this is as easy as you say it is, and throwing around words as volatile as disgusting and miserable. Your increased sense of self importance is disgusting. |

PS I'm 16 and delving into the field of Game Design and Computer Sciences. The term kid as a condescending term is just used to express immaturity or ignorance to another person, especially if they're below your age.
I'm using it in a derogatory sense. |

'Oh shut up kid.'
Great way to start this off. You're showing maturity.
'Have you no knowledge of how these things work?'
I obviously do, unlike Mr. I-Call-Random-People-Kids.
'You've never tried to balance 100,000 kids and teens with a team of maybe a thousand.'
I'm 14, the hell do you expect of me? To be sitting in my corporate office?
'You've never had to deal with those things. The mods have a well paying job on a 'terrible' game that you seem to enjoy enough to play for 4 years,'
I obviously enjoyed it because it's an addiction. Take nail-biting for instance.
'they have benefits and make a decent pay. They get to work in a great envirornment and work in the career path of their choice. But you're right, guy behind a computer screen calling names and having a limited understanding of how anything really functions in a community like this, they live a miserable life.'
I couldn't even comprehend anything of this paragraph you've typed up. I understood everything clearly until the end. What does anything you've said at the end, "But you're right, guy behind a computer screen calling names and having a limited understanding of how anything really functions in a community like this," have to do with the final sentence. Can you make ANY sort of sense before typing.
'Bug off.'
I gladly will when you learn to:
A. Stop calling random people on the internet children
B. Not act like a know-it-all
and C. Have understanding of people's minds, that last sentence bugged me. |

And you think that going onto a forum and calling a RANDOM person a 'kid' is smart?
Have you not seen the effects that calling ANYONE on forums any type of derogatory word? It ends with someone contradicting it, typically saying, "lol im not a kid scrub" and then turning into a flame war.
As for me, I'm not a kid. I may be a 14-year-old, but I've experienced anything I wouldn't want to ever experience. I've experienced heartbreak at the highest degree, I've experienced death, separation, neglect, abuse, and more.
You act as if I'm pulling words from my Phonics book. I'm not, I may be the smartest person in my class. School, maybe. Anyway, I asked a question, if you needed proof of exploits or if it would be ignored. You went and completely slandered my question, acting like it's a giant pile of crap.
All I wanted, for one day, was for someone to just answer a question. I got responses, yes, but you had to ruin it. You had to go and show off like a 'big shot' and act as if you can completely make me feel hopeless and like a child.
I have news for you, I'm more than a kid. I've experienced life. I know what life is. I've made decision that can either help or ruin me.
I can either die, or I can survive and see how my life plays out. People like you will decide my fate.
So think hard. |

Great way to start this off. You're showing maturity.
And anger and volatility. Yes. Good to know we're both in the same mature boat here.
I obviously do, unlike Mr. I-Call-Random-People-Kids.
If you're so offended by being called a kid then you're probably a kid.
I'm 14, the hell do you expect of me? To be sitting in my corporate office?
I expect a basic sense of empathy and the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes before jumping the gun and going at them.
I obviously enjoyed it because it's an addiction. Take nail-biting for instance.
If you're addicted then why are you insulting the people who made it. They obviously did something right, and you have no grounds to be going at them over something they have no control over.
I was making reference to how ironic it is that you called them miserable while sitting behind a computer hashing unthought out insults and arguements at them.
I gladly will when you learn to:
A. Stop calling random people on the internet children
B. Not act like a know-it-all
and C. Have understanding of people's minds, that last sentence bugged me.
A. You're 14. You're a child. Your comments showed that. Your lack of empathy and bluntness showed a level of childish misunderstanding of how these things work.
B. I'm not a know-it-all, I'm someone who took a step back and tried to actually look at this from the opposing sides eyes. I'm someone whose learning Computer science and can say first hand how slippery a slope it can be. I'm someone who made the same stupid posts that you're making right now when I was younger, and learned and grew from people putting me in my place on the topic when I did. Someone who grew to argue better and to think things through and be more patient and less sensitive and whiney from it. I'm not a know-it-all, I've just been on both sides of this arguement before.
C. I have a better understanding then you. I'm trying to get under your skin to either force you to get enraged and snap and end up remembering this as a bad situation to put yourself in, or deter you with little back handed comments hidden in the points. You need to learn from this. |
