-It has great deals on a lot of games, their niche is non-AAA games (some older, some newer) that can run on modern OS'.
-No DRM involved in any game pirchase purchase, and if the game has a steam key then that is the only drm you will need to install (steam)and that is if you want it on steam.
-It has sales similar to steam's, but admittedly less frequently and not as big because they don't have the agreements valve has.
-Run by the people who make The Witcher which is probably the best RPG out there right now (in the true sense of the word, not the RPG-fighting mix such as skyrim).
-No ads on the site or in any of the games it allows to be put up, putting it way above some other distributing services (cough Origin/Uplay).
-It has that community "feel" that a lot of the gaming industry has lost. I'm aware they're businesses, but the people who make this have built a strong loyalty over the years unlike EA or Ubisoft and I feel that is what is going to benefit it the most in the long run.
I'm looking through their "strategy" genre since I like those sort of games the most and the selection is not only extremely varied, but it has a lot of games that look really good but I have not heard of due to their release being "drowned out" by more popular games that came out near the same date.
I'd recommend taking a look. www.gog.com |

yep. it's what made me look at them in the first place since previously I had just ignored it as "just another distributor, I have steam for that".
and it's probably why the Witcher 3 preorder is on the front page of it right now lol |

| Well, that ties into my post. You learn about a lot of games that perhaps don't have the strong marketing budget that some company like Maxis has, but you can still find popular game downloads there such as the ARMA series, DRM free. |

| They actually have the ARMA series up to Combined Operations going at 80% off right now. You can get ARMA2:CA for 5$ right this instant. |

Dwagon Age 2 Analysis
Less features than predecessor Less gameplay than predecessor Short Development Cycle Bad Writing Bad Story PAID DLC PACKS Reuse of maps
How an "AAA game" made by an "AAA studio" pales in comparison to The Witcher amazes me. Either The Witcher is an awesome game unseen before or all big publishers today do not know what they are doing |

The witcher 2 is alright, the witcher 1, I'm pushing myself through.
So much grinding.
