[Browsing the internet because screw you] "Hmm, lets see." "You know, I really need to get Windows so I can stream ToonTown Rewritten when I'm ready" [Downloads Windows *LEGALLY] "Okay, lets install" [Drive is in Ext format for Linux, must be NTFS for Windows] "Okay, I'll just format and then reinstall linux as a dualboot." [Formats drive] *BING BING, your copy of windows is corrupted and will not install have a nice day and screw you! lol xdxdxdxd* [Has an empty hard drive with no OS installed] ffffffffffff [Installs windows XP since that's all I have while I redownload] [Download finishes, goes to install when bios will not open due to lack of driver update] "Grr" [Downloads driver, tries to install, but just hangs, turns out the file was corrupted.] "SON OF A FFFF"
And here I am, in Internet explorer, on 32 bit Windows XP, trying to install Windows 8.1, DUAL BOOTING ISN'T SUPPSED TO BE HARD!

| Seeing the messages , i think its your computer , or at least , your drivers. Maybe theyre outdated. Try installing Hirens Boot CD and try to update the drivers. |

Drivers are fine.
I'm doing a manual override, that should get me through. |

Download Darik's Boot And Nuke and install it on a CD or empty USB Flash Drive. Insert the CD or the USB in the computer. Make sure your computer is turned off Turn on your computer and go to the BIOS Go to your boot manager and set your CD drive or your USB drive as first boot Exit BIOS and restart computer Let DBAN format your drive. MAKE SURE DOCUMENTS ARE SAFE When it's done (can take up HOURS) , install a operating system (Windows, Linux...)
that worked for me several times with my old pc |

| you should always wait a few years to switch to a new operating system to give it time to get to it's maximum potential |

"Turn on your computer and go to the BIOS"
You know my problem isn't Windows, it's that I CAN'T get into the bios to install windows. |

Do you have both of those repositories installed and at the correct version?
Might want to be version specific. It's pretty easy to have software, but not the up to date one. |

Also, I can't remember, but is xf86 32 bit?
if so (assuming you run 64bit) it's not finding the 64 bit version |
