Ever since I was born my parents have been getting in arguments. I remember back in '06, when I was 6 years and 1 month old, my parents got into a huge fight. My dad smashed a bookcase that had many valuables on it and slammed it on the ground, breaking trophies and what not. I was in my room hiding, and my mom went and layed down on the bed. My dad flipped the bed ontop of her. My dad wasn't seen for 3 days.
Then, a month later they got into another fight, and then I heard my dad yell at my mom "Our son is the only thing keeping us from a divorce". The argument stopped there, and my dad left for a few more days.
I have forgotten about it all until just 4 months ago, they got into another fight and my dad threw a plate across the room like a shuriken toward the door. I keep thinking about this every hour of every day...
What do I do? I need serious advice... |

My dad had done things close to this multiple times, but left for a couple days and calmed down and we were alright..
Thing is,maybe you could get your mom to cheer him up by like.. uhh jokes? or uhh... hmm just something that puts that frown upside down. |

| It happens when we are anywhere. One time my dad had nearly had to pay the hotel for damages if he hadn't stopped himself. It happens when we are camping, watching a movie, whatever. |

Sounds like they need help. They need therapy, or some love therapy. |

I actually have run away and hid in a treehouse in the woods that my friend built a few years back. It is deep in the woods and very high up and hidden, and he and i go there whenever we want to be away from our family. It has everything needed to stay there for a few days at a time. |

There is no place for therapy near where we live. Not within 50 miles.

| Get a counselor or someone that deals with these things. |

| Your dad needs to seek counseling for his anger, or you and your mom need to leave because he is abusive and unfit to be a husband or father. |

My dad is a truck driver. He's only here on weekends.
The fights aren't as bad as before, not really any more violence.
