| Please try to not be biased just because everyone hates COD. What are some legit reasons that people hate COD so much? |

The reason I dislike it so much is because it basically implements the same thing over and over again with each new game. The only really different thing they do is having side games such as Zombies, Survival, etc. After that, they are the same thing with just different plot lines.
It's like Fast and Furious for video games. |

| So it's repetitive? Yeah I guess if you're not a hardcore try hard fan of the game then it's essentially the same thing. I see your point, but when I play each COD I notice each micro detail that makes each one different. But $60 is quite a waste if you're paying for the same thing each time. |

@War
Honestly, I liked it back when they had Black Ops come out. It was when MW3 dropped that kind of made it go meh. They implemented a bit more of an action movie look to things in the games, but afterwards it was like watching a Michael Bay movie, more explosions than action. |

| True, but that's sort of a reason why I like the game. It's the mindlessness of it that's fun and simple. To each their own I guess. But I think that people hate COD because it's popular. I guess if you aren't into that type of game it gets annoying because on YouTube and ads and etc it's the dominant game all the time. |

I only play Black Ops 2 cause it's fun with friends. Zombies is fun with friends. And multiplayer is fun with friends. I only play games modes with them like Search and Destroy. But yeah, it is repetitive and has a bad story. |

COD is way too generic for my taste. The gunshots sound like water-filled nerf guns and each gun has some weird sound; it's honestly just unrealistic and seems to be meant more for the actual fun than the effort put into the game. It's very unbalanced, seems to appeal to a supremely young audience anymore, and nearly never has a good Campaign. The only two games I really enjoyed extensively were MW3 and MW2. Those were fantastic games in the multiplayer section.

@World
To me, I don't hate it because of its popularity. In all honesty, I would like to play it, but it is missing some key points that turn it down for me. It lacks a real plot system for me. Not just a plot, but a wide range of plots. Ever since COD4, it has been the same. Person wants to destroy America. Person has a massive army. Person takes over America (if not another country). Person is hunted by a small group of three people. One of them dies. The other two look for the person. Person is found, taken out, and the game is finished. Now if it was a little more expanded on the plot, it would be enjoyable. I myself, however, may go get Advanced Warfare all because Kevin Spacey will be the antagonist of this game. |

@Chris
You're right when you say COD is unrealistic, but then again what games are? I think people expect too much of COD as for realism, when people don't expect games like TF2 to be realistic. I don't see why COD has to have extremely good graphics and realism. Those are two things that most PC gamers complain about (yeah im kinda attacking PC gamers because I find them to be the most critical about COD). But people play games like minecraft and TF2 and whatever and they are fine with them because they are fun. Then again I probably shouldn't look at PC gamers as all the same but most of them are like this. |

Yeah but that's not realistic. So does TF2 not have to be realistic but COD does? |

| I don't know, people treat it like it is. But even if it isn't why does it have to be super realistic and other games don't? My real question is why does COD have higher expectations than other games? |

@world I don't see the "fun" in Call of Duty anymore. I mostly dislike Black Ops and above. Let me give you a list of reasons.
1. The maps are terribly designed, small and honestly are so easily spawntrapped, whilst when you look at the older maps (MW3 and below) they weren't so sensitive in size and the maps were unique, fun to play and you could easily do things like trickshots or cool killcams on them.
2. Their campaigns are no longer any good.
3. They just keep hitting us with this "futuristic" theme that's getting so terribly unoriginal and boring.
4. The whole Extinction thing, boring and difficult, uncomfortable, and nowhere near as good as Zombies.

"I don't know, people treat it like it is. "
There is a difference between purposefully designing the wackiness that is TF2 and Activision trying to ram something unrealistic down buyer's throats and call it realistic, that's what has everyone ticked off.
"But even if it isn't why does it have to be super realistic and other games don't?"
Because apparently the developers and publishers of cod seem to have this delusion of grandeur that it is actually realistic
"My real question is why does COD have higher expectations than other games?"
Because they promise change yet don't deliver and you get the same generic crap again

Top reasons for me
1. No vehicles 2. Maps are too small and mostly CQB 3. it is quite repetitive, nothing new it's just the same thing every time 4. you can't blow up walls and do a lot of realistic things like in battlefield |

| No I was actually a cod fanboy since COD 4 and I outgrew it and I'm listing my reasons, cod is always the same there's barely anything different and the concept is old for me and that's the reason I moved onto battlefield. COD is obsolete compared to it and you can't deny it |
