The one I use is an old fashioned Cframe resize that's only 1x1 studs....and I'd really like to be able to resize things smaller, and I've seen tools that do it. Is there a tool that does that? I'm aware that you can just use a baseplate or custom part, but that's only height--I'm looking for width as well.

| Try the qCmdUtl plugin, it has a Scale tool that works on most bricks. I don't think it works on a lot of meshes though. |

1. Go in studio. 2. Open a place. 3. Look on the tool bar and check 1/5th studs Then you can re-size to smaller |

Why not just use Studio? So much easier... |

Not for me. I prefer the use of hotkeys, and the ability to scale things to my character. I'm also much more used to Build mode.
(Anything that's Ctrl+keynamehere is not a hotkey to me) |

Custom parts can be resized down to .2x.2x.2 studs. Not just the height. Either that or your CFrame tool is pretty useless.
In Edit mode you can place a model of a Robloxian for scale. Just sayin'. I hope you give Edit another chance, so many options, tools and plugins available! |

| I just look for re-size models and put it into the starter pack and take it out when I'm done building. I don't know how small it re-sizes. |

Just get the online-mode building tools by F3X. It has the ability to insert meshes, resize/move/rotate at any increment you want, add decals/textures, change color,transparency,reflectancy,material,surfaces.. etc..
It's a builder's best friend! |

Maybe ask someone in scripting helpers to build one. A 'custom' setting CFrame resizer. Or try to rewrite the one you have.
If you used Custom parts you might be able to find one that works for that FormFactor.
An alternative that I use is to pull the part clear with CFrame move then stretch it and put it back. This can be tedious but works until a new Custom CFrame resizer is made. |

If you play in game, I would suggest F3X Tools. You can resize up to .001 (no grid) It provides the simple used of studio everything down to Surfances and Decals.
But of you're in studio, I'd recommend building assistant and CMD Tool by Quenty which Scott recommended. It has the ability to also resize to .001 and there's a neat tool called "Select Edge" where you can press alt on two bricks corners and rotate on that edge.
The studio tools are plugins and the F3X is a model |
