No really, TGI has about 200 - 500 members 200 that actually matter and like 20 that don't scream "Glory to ourselves, Glory to us!"

| NFC lost the war, yes. However, if we are taking this into real life context if you refuse to fight the enemy takes your land. |

i would rather have 500 average to good members than 5000 front page gamers
at one point TGI actually had over 5k members, but most of them were inactive novices so we purged the rank
when we care for your opinion on our group, we'll make sure to give ya a call bud |

"have you ever heard of the battle of thermopylae? the persians won that."
yes after 3 days of watching legions of persian soldiers get slaughtered with next to no spartan or greek casualties, they managed to find a goat trail that lead to the top of the mountain pass only after a greek betrayed his comrades and told the persians
they then completely covered the ridges with archers and poured arrows onto the Spartans (who had dismissed the other greeks knowing the fate that awaited them, but stayed behind to cover their retreat) until they all died, because they only possessed bronze armor and those obviously don't stop arrows to well
not that impressive on the persian end, especially considering over 20,000 persians died and the delay cost them the entire war |

| that does not matter, the persians won. consider that the original greek goal was to hold the persians there (considering just how great the position was.) either way, that is not relevant, the persians won with superior numbers. |

and then they lost with superior numbers in the biggest naval engagement in ancient history due to superior greek ships, skill, and tactics
all thanks to leonidas delaying the main persian ground force for an entire week, allowing all of the greek city states to rally |

@Fire
Not siding with TGI... But in real life if you attack a land with no soldiers, set up your defenses and expect the enemy to rush you then you're stupid..
And I was in the TGI-NFC war, NFC did a good job at their fort, a terrible job offensively.
TGI has refused to defend a few times, when it was fair but that is just TGI being terrible. However even if you they did defend, you would have lost (Which is stupid, TGI should have just fought).

actually it's estimated that they would have vice, because the greeks were going to reinforce them after they rallied

this debate has nothing to do with tactics, it has to do with numbers against skill.
> if the persians never found the goat pass, the spartans would have won
you cannot make "what if" assumptions of history. you cannot say that the persians would have lost as you cannot and do not know what could have happened. |

The one time that we actually got TGI to the fort with reasonable numbers, we got the fort up to 99%.
One other thing those that mock me for the war fail to see is that I actually accepted it. Most of them would simply decline it. |

@fire no im serious the spartans would have won the persian army mainly consisted of slaves or men with very little military experience. the spartans trained for war all their life the spartans and the greeks would be tired out, yes, but obviously the spartans would have given the greeks enough time to rally their forces and reinforce the spartans at thermopayle |
