Would anyone be interested to learn how to play DnD 4th edition, and to create a character sheet for possible roleplay DnD nights in the future. *Cough cough* Cairn of The Winter King *cough cough* |

| Sorry, mate, 3.5 or nothing. 4th Edition is way to overly complicated and simply not worth. |

| Always wanted to get into DnD, never had the time, or enough friends with an interest in it. Figure it would do to learn 4th edition. |

Well, besides learning 4th edition, you would also build a character sheet. It would be free (As all player handbooks are online!). And redcoat, 3.5(Atleast the months I've played through) is probably on equal footing for complexity with 4th edition. I've played about 6 months of DnD 3.5, and DMed one and a half years with 4.0. The reason why 4.0 is quite simple is because it's based around tiles.

I have the rulebooks at my dad's place. I can play a game or two on the weekend, but I can't use any microphone chat, video chat, etc. I'm paranoid.

Which is perfectly alright. I see DnD working as it should if the DM, the creator of this world, giving their voice, because unlike text, pitches and accents, and other things to add intrigue into an other-wise imagenation based adventure. I see it as follows: Would you rather read of an Irish Man giving you directions Or hear a Irish Man give you direction. The later is much more interesting. |

Well... Damn. The biggest problem I see with text in general is how slow it is against voice (This is the case for not only DnD, but everything else) DnD is a time commitment of 4-5 hours per session, and that is if some player have mics and are talking or all of them are talking. |

| Learning the game, text would actually prove better due to instructions. Voice can't be saved without recording devices, however, text when written, especially on titanpad or roll20, stays, which allows the learners to reread to better understand. |

I'm interested in learning and playing. I've always wanted to role-play a tabletop, but never have.
I also have a mic, in case we use TeamSpeak/Skype/Whatever voice program is considered popular now. |

Well Dundun, tune in and I'll have a date or dates, then announce a date for some sessions (These will all be ran through piratepad/roll20.) Piratepad being, you know... And roll20 being a really go tabletop emulator. |

| I'll announce 'workshop' dates and you'll sign up. I'll send links to location via private message. There, I'll teach the basics, probably through one-two hour class where we'll go through rules, races, encounters, and designing a character sheet. |

It (I dare say) Allows more kinship to develop then through the roleplay community here, I can say for sure. (Roleplay community being strictly through roleplays) |

Complete Adventurer was a 3.5 book, might also be a 4th I suppose.
I don't know. I'm just here. |

| Yeah, isn't it the cool looking player's hand book that has like two times more classes then the normal players handbook from 4th? |
