Steam is a community about LEGITIMATE players who PAY for games. ROBLOX is a community about players who plays free games created by players.
Gaben will be watching you. |

| I don't think we made any decision... Looking at numbers, it is obvious both ROBLOX and Steams approach are very successful. |

Steam was mentioned because it has a similar multigame platform as roblox.
I think Roblox could stand up against other programs as well, such as draw programs or 3d designers.
ROBLOX is the ultimate gaming system. Woot! |

It still isn't wise enough to compare 2 companies with two different ways of benefit gordon
Why won't you guys compare with another company with the same strategy as yours? That would be something I'd be more interested to look forward to. |

ROBLOX started as a simple game (note the word game) for children to play and interact with.
Steam started as a PLATFORM for hosting games and making them easily obtainable and up datable and was aimed towards anyone of any age inside the gaming community.
ROBLOX is slowly transitioned into a platform, and I believe eventually they will settle at a player base inbetween 8-25. The difference is that ROBLOX will always be a mix of: Game, Platform, and Engine. Steam will always be a Platform specifically. |

Pessimist: ROBLOX doesn't compare to other platforms, engines, or games
Optimist: Nothing offers a Platform, an engine, and a game all wrapped into one, so is incomparable to any type of game.
Optimists always have more success |

"I think Roblox could stand up against other programs as well, such as draw programs or 3d designers."
wtf? Again, they should have the same methods ROBLOX have to make a fair comparison. Steam works on connections with companies such as Capcom and other big corporations and small indie ones. With games created by individual companies either free to play or pay to enjoy. Roblox is singular and tends to work with its only players to create games, but is not as highly focused in digital distribution/management/contracts as Steam is.

| Lego is an IRL building toy, not an online game or an online game engine/platform. A comparison would be near impossible, I think. |

@alex lol lego Lego is awesome. Heck, even their games are awesome. I bought the Star Wars one 2 years ago lol.
Yeah I don't know about the comparison. Lego is not that internet-based as ROBLOX is.
Well since there is Lego Land then it should be obvious who made the most profits here. |

So yeah idk Steam is more developed Roblox just started?
but that doesn't make it fair to compare. Every game that inhibits ROBLOX is part of ROBLOX. The games within Steam are granted credits to the individual company. Steam is basically marketing games from big devs while ROBLOX doesn't, it takes it as part of ROBLOX. |
