| All we get now is a distorted image of the old skybox from reflectance, can we make it even remotely better? There is no reason why it can't have the slightest decency. |

| Support. I made a thread on this before, but it was ignored by players and admins alike. Guess that Roblox's community is way to young to understand how reflectivity should work in real games. |

| Nah, my threads on making the cylinders collide correctly, resize correctly, and removing their crosses, my thread on making the search engines, particularly on the forum better, and many other valid ideas are ignored. Why? The S&I forum is full of trolls and WNTS people, and mods don't check it enough to notice valid forums before they're drowned. |

this takes a lot of system resources and a good graphics card, and most people can't run it . . .
but who cares? my new gaming pc arrives in 2 weeks!
not that i'll be playing roblox or anything. you know.

| No support. This will weigh down computers and not everyone can afford a good computer. |

"not everyone can afford a good computer."
to tell you the truth, you can buy a very good computer for about $800 nowadays
and any computer with a semi recent graphics card may be able to do this, i had a workstation laptop from 2009 and it can handle (somewhat) reflections on all my games

| I don't demand any kind of perfect mirrors on anything(Though mirror properties could potentially be added to bricks later, it would be neat), I just mean making it look shiny without just projecting the old skybox onto it. You know how that looks on an indoor game or a game in space or even just not being outside? "OH MY GOSH THE SKY IS INSIDE MY SUBMARINE!" |

| @Mj just lower your graphics which will remove the realistic reflectance. |

you know
it would be better to have a checklist of visuall than it would be to have a general-bar setting |

| Scriptable? You know, they made a reflectance. I'm saying to remove the old skybox image and make it even barely more realistic. |

WNTS people often make the powerful reasons to get support. troll? lower their rights. |

| @Mjgaga your argument is invalid. If the user can't see the Reflectance whatsoever, it's their computer specs. |

"Not everyone can afford $800. Stop being such a rich snob"
what i'm trying to say is that the price of computers has gone down significantly - meaning that, say, 5 years ago a good computer might have been $2000. i'm not saying that everyone can afford a good computer, just more than before.
besides, computers are like cars, and they are just naturally expensive
"And it's scriptable"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9y6ke0-vRQ
i've only seen this done once, using some cleverly placed bricks on a shiny floor and taking the character and making the 'reflection' on the other side of the floor.
the maker of the place was very clever, but doing something besides a still image and maybe a character? no.

Support. To where it won't weigh down computer to about 5000 Pounds, how about it being 5 and up on the graphics system.
Did I just say that, sir? |

@All who say it will weigh down computers.
Err, I can run quake III arena on a windows 98 and that game has mirrors. The mirrors work perfectly in the game too. Although, there is only 1 map with a mirror.
@OP
Support. This is a great idea. But we need a way to turn off the mirrors if it gets to be too many. We should either have in lighting, a way to turn mirrors on/off, graphics toggling to turn them off, or mirrors being a whole different property. Adding the 2nd and 3rd ideas together might make a good way, but like dynamic lighting, mirrors being toggleable in lighting is good. But like I said before, support. |

| Shadows and dynamic lighting use up waaay more processing power. It seems no one on Roblox plays anything else OTHER than Roblox. Probably explains the lack of knowledge throughout the community. . . |

| As a NOTE, I am not talking about mirror bricks, I am talking about improving the existing reflectance property. |

@Croven How about you stay on topic. Start your own thread about cut scenes (even though there are about a dozen Plu-Ins for making cut scenes in the catalog). I support this idea. I'ts been a minor pet peeve of mine for a while. |
