" Even more then us British." *than Don't act like an American and change the PROPER British English spelling. Oh yeah, that's a reason why I don't like the US. They changed amounts of spelling in the English language, which is just.. stupid. |

there are actually several reasons for it, but one of them was the simple fact that english spelling was not even standardized during the early 18th century. many people in america liked noah webster's spelling rules; whereas, people in england preferred samuel johnsons' way of spelling words in the english language
if you want more details, then you can look them up yourself; you literally could easily look up something like this. |

oh well thats ok then apparently he changed it to a more latin-based english i thought it was that americans wanted to stamp their 'identity' on the english language. |

States doesn't equal country. I'm sure you wouldn't be able to name up all of the Russian or Dutch counties. Maybe, if you're like, you may know some, but all? I know some states in the US. All? No way. Does it matter? No. Is it comparable? No.

I would actually like to work there some day. |

I have nothing against America apart from their arogance.
They assume everyone in the world knows there presidents, states and currency.
I think everyone has heard of the US Dollar. Ask someone about the British Currency, Mongolian currency, ect.
Less will know.
I guess that has to do with world power, financial and size. |

| We are represented by a select few, and those select few bring us shame. Much of the arrogance comes from patriotism without education. But most people I know here actually are the ones who want to go to other countries and find more about them and their cultures. We aren't all just ignorant heathens who don't want anything to do with"unamericans" lol |
