I made a new Single Player Horror Game, that contains some complex scripts, such as vision detection (Like in "Don't Blink") and a complex algorithm between the rooms of the game. Most of you may not be familiar with my game, so i'll give you a quick overview:
You're In A Room is a single player Horror game. The goal is to find, and gather 4 pages scattered around rooms, as slowly you feel like your sanity is being decreased, and you get to experience that for yourself as well.
If you get frightened easily, then play at your own risk. You might feel like this is just a lame way to get a game advertised, but hey, I gotta do this somehow.
You may feel free to leave your feedback and experience of the game here as well. Just thought I'd share it with some of you guys ^_^ |

I was hoping to find something good.
I found 2 notes. The writing is dreadful. The horrible typesetting of the notes appearance on the game also completely eliminates the immersion of the place.
The world is boring. Every single room is the same. I got bored and lost because there's just rows of identical uninteresting rooms.
I was expecting a jump-scare because that's all you can do when you have empty lifeless environments.
I think this might be a good start, if I could have actually found my way around, but you have a lot of work to do. |

| I found 2 pages, then roamed around until leaving because the sounds and static freaked me out. |

| The fact that is shares the same plot as Slender is stupid, otherwise great game. |

Really, other than it having 8 pages, it is by no means supposed to be like Slender. However the pages will be changed into something else.
@BlueTaslem The emptiness is the whole point of the place. The lifelessness (a word?) with the increasingly louder music, and darker rooms is all that is needed to give off that 'creepy' vibe. If you were to look at it from a Designers perspective, then yes, you'd say it's all empty, and uninteresting. But that's just what makes it what it is. This isn't an Amnesia game or anything.
... You people realized that the walls are changing, right? o_o |

| When I joined the game, first thing I noticed was slender-like stuff. Pages, blur/static on the screen. As I walked about, I could've sworn there was a pathway after/before I turned. I was expecting something to be chasing me or something like that. The thought gave me slight shivers, and then I did turn around, and there was nothing there. I walked around for like 5 minutes, and the only thing I saw was 2 white blocks falling. They weren't scary, they were cute. After I collected 4 pages, my screen had become so blurry that I could not see a thing. Literally all I saw was the lights, and that's not a whole lot to navigate by. So I just sat there as the blurriness slowly increased even further, awaiting a jump scare. At long last, there it came, the typical red robloxian slowly moving forward and a sound plays. I was not scared. |

@BlueTaslem Well, I was expecting you to think of it in a more game design perspective. Firstly, you're an extremely professional person, so I doubt you'll ever be excited over a roblox horror game. Secondly, the whole point is that the rooms are empty. 'Uninteresting' isn't a word here, because the emptiness is what's creepy about it. Sure, some may find it 'not scary', but because the rooms are empty, it adds atmosphere. It wasn't supposed to be real looking; the rooms aren't supposed to be a representation of whats real... Oh, and I fixed the typesetting :> |
