we waste tax payers hard-earned money on feeding and sheltering vermin who have done society no good
it's basically giving them free food, shelter, and protection, while they've broken a law, usually MURDER
we basically give free service to those that have MURDERED |

| Why give them a life sentence? You could just go ahead and kill them. |

how about we inject substances that we don't know where come from into people. and then watch them wake up while there is a needle in them, when they were supposed to be comatose. then continue the execution while they shake and grasp for air, but their lungs dont work until they suffocate an half an hour after they were supposed to be dead.
owait, we already do |

Ilovei, the people they killed had no mercy, and never really have painless deaths.
Why should the murderer? |

And as skellor said.
But really, if I killed someone or multiple people I would not expect a painless death. |

if the system were more efficient it would be a lot less costly than 27,000 dollars a year for a life sentence prisoner |

| life sentences cost much more money, since you pay for food the rest of their lives |

It's been circulating that California taxpayers pay $90,000 more per death row prisoner each year than on prisoners in regular confinement. That's only for California, so in other places it could very well be lower or higher.
And also, according to this site: "The death penalty is much more expensive than life without parole because the Constitution requires a long and complex judicial process for capital cases. This process is needed in order to ensure that innocent men and woman are not executed for crimes they did not commit, and even with these protections the risk of executing an innocent person can not be completely eliminated."
I quote from a site because I don't have the sufficient knowledge to say anything. |
