It is the year 2XXX. The human species has expanded across the cosmos. 211 planets have been colonized, expanded upon and conquered. Now with more for humans to have there's more for humans to fight over, you see many groups have been fighting but four factions have managed to get into power. Genesis, The Crimson Valkyries, The Ascendants, and Taxonomists. These four factions are well known and feared, and they are in a constant power struggle to maintain their planets. You're one of the main military leaders in one of these factions. Lead your squad to victory over key strategic positions.
READ THE INTRODUCTIONS, AND IF YOU WOULD LIKE, SKIP TO THE INFORMATION ABOUT THAT FACTION
INTROS TO THE FACTIONS
Genesis:
They believe in a world where everything is controlled by a strict but fair government. No freedom, the people have no say. But they will be safe. Their colonies are usually void of emotion and industrialized. Their technology is rather advanced. They usually rely on farming and strict schedules. The citizens keep their head down and do their job. Genesis has 14 planets All of them rather close together. The trade lines are tight, and mining operations make them profit to fund the never-ending war.
They have tight trade lines between planets.
The Crimson Valkyries:
While they lack a large amount of planets, The Crimson Valkyries do have one large planet they have named Blades. This is where their hub is. Blades is surrounded by many rings of shrapnel like ice. They call it the Blade. They circumspect the planet at almost all angles. The husks of many lost ships, torn to shreds by the ice. Many small orbital stations hide in the ice. The Valkyries have most of their colonies as large space stations. Most have a basic community with farms and the like. While most of them don't have a leader, if they do he is weak in power and just a figure-head, and to command the militia. The Valkyries believe that no one, no government should have the power. This is why all of their colonies are separate space stations. They communicate only to trade and organize attacks.
Every once in a while they go back to Blades to gather fresh food, new people, ect. They control a total of 3 planets, Blades, and two small planets nearby. Most of their power comes from their space stations scattered about the galaxy.
The Ascendants:
A group of religious zealots following their god no matter what, they have a strict government where you follow and listen. Their greatest strength is that they own the most planets, the large number of 30 even the second closest Genesis only has 14. They own such a large space if you get to close, you have two choices die or learn of the religion. Also they believe that they're born of a type of god leading some to believe they have magic. They use dangerous fire based techonogly. While devastating, it's dangerous to operate. and only a select few can use them.
They also posses a space cannon of devasting power. It is orb shapes, with a large gate at the front. It fires an incendiary beam that can devasate a certain area of a planet. They rarely use it though, because of how expensive it is to fuel it. They used it on a planet in their terriroty that had a colony on it. They refused to submit, and started a war they couldn't win. So they were scorched.
Taxonomists:
They managed to get into space first, making them the first faction to rise to power, it's a council that rules over their few planets. They only take the smartest member, any less would be insulting. They own tech masterpieces. Robots, mutants, lasers and deadly ships. While they have the least population, their soldiers are genetically altered, and they have mutated creatures to assist them in battle, along with some mechs. They control 8 planets, most of them already had life on them. The Taxonomists took over and made an army.
FACTION WEAPONRY: IMPORTANT!!!!
THIS IS IMPORTANT RIGHT HERE!!!!Each faction has some weapons that we don't show here. This is because they are secret, and you will find out what they have upon joining that faction. Sometimes they really are a secret weapon, sometimes they are just bland and not unique to that faction. Example of these are frag grenades and rocket launchers.
Genesis:
Pulse Rifle: An assault rifle that fires small explosive orbs that explode on impact. There are several setting, from just an impact, to kill. The higher the setting, the sooner they have to recharge. The highest setting is a short beam-like burst of lethal energy, but it is wild and hard to hit people with, as it has massive recoil upon the single shot. But the orbs have a hard time penetrating heavy armor. Most soldiers set them to impact, stun or incapacitate their enemies with a wave of fire, and then come in for the kill. It doesn't need to reload, it just needs to recharge.
Pulse Pistol: Pulse Rifle, except semi-automatic and always fires lethal shots.
Arc Thrower: Similar in appearence to a pistol, it is light and powerful. . It fires beams of electricity, incapacitating people and electronics. It also has various levels of power, and just needs to recharge.
Clashbang: It has been known to be called this from other factions, the actual name for it is long and complicated. The Clashbang is an impact, discombobulating grenade. It can knock enemies of their feet, knocking them several feet backwards. It has the power of knocking unconscious or killing if the target slams against a wall.
The Crimson Valkyries:
CH-27 "Clacker": Fires high impact bullet rounds, while they are slow compared to everyone elses projectiles, they can fire at infinite range and effectiveness in zero-g. They are good against light armor, and infantry. But they can be deviated and deflected easily.
CH-25 "Popper" : Basic small arms pistol. Always trusty, always reliable.
Slitters: A sword made of Ice from the Blade. Razor sharp, reliable and deadly. Most of them belong to the Slitters, which is where the swords name come from. The Slitters are kamikaze warriors, that ambush enemies and slice them up. Don't get too close.
CP-5: Fires explosive shrapnel ice rockets. The ice of the Blades is tough and resistant and when propelled out of the explosive round, decimates armor and skin alike.
CS-1 "Slugger": A powerful pumpaction shotgun. The rounds, constructed of combination of Blade Ice and metal, provides a slug of devastating power. Holds 8 slugs and is great at close range.
The Ascendants:
Peacemaker: A semi-automatic beam weapon. Armor penetrating beam, great at close to medium range. However it overheats quickly, meaning your shots need to count.
Spreadshot: Similar to the Peacemaker, except with a special parts in it. It spreads the beam of the Peacemaker into a shotgun like blast. While lacking in accuracy, it can be effective at close range.
Resolver: A revolver type side-arm. It fires incindiary rounds that set enemies on fire if hit correctly. It is reliable and fires 6 high caliber rounds.
Palm Weaponry: Some Ascendants believe they have special powers. They can control technology they install in their palms. They fire purple fire, called Cleanse. It's similar to fire on Earth, except it doesn't need oxygen. The Palm Weaponry can utilized Cleanse, and telekinetic shields, and telekinesis.
The Neophyte: A super crossbow. It fires long bolts of titanium steel almost at the speed of a bullet. It penetrates armor, and can be customized to have many different types of bolts. It is silent, but doesn't do well against armor.
Cleanser: Firing raw Cleanser, this devastating flamethrower sets everything alight. Used by people who aren't "gifted" enough to use Palm Weaponry, the Cleanser does the same job. While it is not as long ranged as Palm Weaponry, nor does it possess telekinetic abilities, it is still awesome in it's power.
Guardian: A large shield, a telekinetic shield projected around it. Useful for placing down cover or using for cover. Generally used by Crusaders.
Taxonomists:
Fusion Propelled Bolts, or FPB's: An elongated tube, generally held on ones shoulder. Upon firing, a fusion reaction happens in the cylinder base, firing a bolt faster then bullets. It generally goes straight through people and armor, and shatters upon impact of something it can't go through. It is slow to reload, and even slower to recharge.
It is rather silent, and the recoil is near nothing. But it is single shot, long reload and recharge, expect to use maybe once or twice in battle.
Plasma-powered Pistol: A strange looking pistol, with a strange looking capsule that holds a glowing liquid. It is a modified version of plasma, and burns at temperatures near that of a red star. While unaccurate, with an arcing projectile, they can still pack quite a punch upon hitting somebody. They'll burn right through a lot of materials before it disappears, as it does so quite quickly.
Multi-purpose Assistance: Bot in a box, it's a small bot that you can carry around. Generally, they place it down and it unflolds to form a small, four legged robot. It can deliver ammunition to the user, weld and repair things, and has a small mounted cannon on-top to assist in battle.
Mutagen Pacifier: A small device with a multitude of buttons and touch screens. This controls a device implanted in any mutated creature the Taxonomists have in on the battlefield at the moment. Most Taxonomists troops carry one to control their Mutated Organism.
Gas Concentrate: A cylindrical grenade. It acts like a standard gas grenade. It can be filled with all sorts of devious Taxonomists gases.
FACTION TROOPS IMPORTANT!!! There are some troops for some factions that are secret. You will find out what they are upon joining that faction
Genesis:
Foot Soldier: Dark blue uniforms and boots. They generally wear helmets on their heads that don't protect their heads very well. It's more of a hat, really. They were a nano-fiber vest that protects them from damage, and also several places to put grenades and hold their pistol. Medium armor, basically They can be male or female.
Foot Scout: Generally used to stealth ahead and gather information. They wear dark black uniforms a mask that covers up most of their face except their eyes, nose and mouth. They generally carry a pistol. They travel light and very good at what they do. They are generally female, but some can be male.
Foot Trooper: One the battlefield, they carry the heavy weapons. Things like rocket launchers, heavy machine guns. They generally have fairly heavy armor. They are usually male.
Crimson Valkyries:
Militiant: Bright red uniforms, generally a full face mask. They have little to no armor and can't hold that much equipment. However, they are fast and can manuever up walls and get places of advantage on the enemy. Best used for hit and run tactics. They can be male or female.
Infantry: The more armored version of the foot soldier. They generally also have a face mask and a helmet. They have medium, padded armor. They can carry more weapons, and are the backbone of the Crimson Valkyries army. From assault, to defense. They use CP-5's, CH-27's, whatever weapon is needed for the situation. They can be male or female.
Slitters: A melee warrior, their sword made from the ice of the Blade. They believe in what they with a passion so fierce they will die for it. They are fast, faster than a Militiant. They sneak in the shadows, and then pounce like a pack of wolves. They always go for the throat. In battle, they are used to pick off stragglers.
The Ascendants:
Zealots: The every-role of the Ascendants. They can be relied on to do what is needed for the situation. The backbone of the army. You'll see them everywhere, when you fight them. Grey and red nanofiber armor, protects from impact. They'll die for that they believe in. They have high morale and almost never give up.
Crusaders: A heavily armored tank with a Guardian shield and Resolver. They provide cover during battle. They work very well with Zealots. Their Resolver is easily used behind their shields. They are useful in long corridors without cover, or land battles.
Paladins: Someone who has devoted their entire life to the Ascendants. Paladins wear light grey plating, and full face masks with a red line going down the middle. They are used in flanking and advantage moves. Generally equipped with Neophytes and pistols.
Templars: The users of the Palm Weaponry. They use the dangerous Palm Weaponry with skill and prowess. They are devastating on the field and have been renownd and feared amongst the other factions. They can use their telekinises to deflect projectiles, and their Cleanse to disitigrate their foes.
Taxonomists:
Tax: Basic Taxonomist troop. While not very well trained or armoured, and come in few numbers, they are smart. They use their gadgets and mutants to fight for them. They're more scientists than soldiers. Don't send them in headfirst, equip them with the correct tools and mutants to do the job as they control them.
Mutants: The real fighters of the Taxonomist army. Various creatures, mutated or domesticated into fighting the war for them. They can be deadly and vicious, all sorts of ungodly creations, previously living organisms the Taxonomists found on their home planet.
Mechs: If Tax do the fighting, they generally do it in a mech suit. They are quite rare to find on the battlefield as they are expensive. You'll probably find them on the defensive. If you do find them, they'll probably have all sorts of nasty weaponry. From FPB's to mini-guns. They are quite a serious threat.

Fighting, transporting, trading, this one ship does it all. Also has heavy shielding.
Rules 1. Thanks to Vamking and LNG for doing the work along side myself. 2. The turns will happen roughly at the same time, so keep this in mind and plan for the enemies next move. 3. If you do ridiculous moves or something that isn't a good idea, your soldiers will do them, and it might not work. So don't get upset if your soldier can't run across the hallway in the gunfight C-3PO style. 4. You can lose. 5. Listen to admins. 6. We might not let you join a group if it has to many members. 7. Have fun!
