| How do I create a motor joint that only activates under a certain condition, with a limited range of motion? I understand this is probably under the surface inputs properties, but after some tinkering, I can't seem to get it. Help is appreciated. |

| This sounds like a Motor6D related issue. Try looking them up in the ROBLOX wiki. |

Surface inputs can give you a constant rotation by themselves, but what you want is a scripted motor. You need a script to turn the motor , stop it and also activate it. And a scripted button or vehicleseat to activate the main script.
Checkout 'takeovertom' models. You can learn alot about motors and their uses. |

If you Search Ictis under the More tab you'll find a group of Door models in his Models. They use Motor6Ds to open the doors/turn the handles.
The script is fairly simple, so I am looking into this for animated models reasons. |
