1. Ottawa Oblivion FC
Is there ANY question whatsoever? Death, who had basically gone into seclusion all season long with barely any trades, has worked his way up to the #2 pick and found a replacement for Moldy, Dead. This team is so good, they might be the best team of all time. Dead could be the best GK to grace the game, death is the best player to ever play, and tiny is the best defender in ISL right now. Not to mention they have a hall of famer sitting on the bench in zim and a future hall of famer in squikers6. I'm not really too worried about activeness either, their starting 3 is pretty active and the fallback is zim.
2. Texas Tar Sanders SC
Rune really shot up the list with some of his recent trades. I am salivating at this roster, and if rune fixed his roblox, they might be able to seriously contend with Ottawa. Ftt is the best defender the ISL has seen and can also play attack if NMS is not at games. Zammy is a HOF GK and a former MVP, but struggled last season and it remains to be seen if he can recapture his magic without Death on his team. Robo is an all-star, and Bung will definitely be solid too. The only thing I worry about is activeness.
3. Washington FC
This team got the unfortunate honor of playing Ottawa twice in a 6 game season. Really, they are still a title contender, but their fate lies on the shoulders of shockingvip1. He's been regarded as the best player in the ISL, but how active is he? He missed the championship game, which cost the team the title. This team has a lot of good role players but there is no dominant FWD besides Shock. The defense will be fine but the bench could give up early in the season if they don't see playing time.
4. Hartford Whales
I have mixed feelings about this team. Part of me sees the fantastic depth this team has and the GKing that should be pretty good, but another sees the lack of dominant FWDs who are also active which is what you need to win a title. While all their GKs are good, I could see their confidence being shattered with a bad game, and where do they go from there? Pri will have to work to keep team chemistry, but otherwise this is a pretty solid team. I see them making the playoffs but probably not advancing to the championship game unless this team finds their star.
5. Tampa Bay Panthers
This team was THIS close to getting dead. That would've been big for them. Instead they got a bunch of pretty good ro-soccer players. I think their style of play will translate nicely to the ISL, but they will need to stay active. GKing is still a problem for this team, as their only two GKs right now is super (a RQer) and drbat. If they sort out their GKing situation I could see them making the playoffs with their easy schedule, but it's going to be a real dogfight.
6. Columbus Storm
Believe it or not, this team is going to be even bigger than last season. This team is FULL of great ro-hockey players, but that doesn't translate to soccer. I was surprised at Bens when he traded away two all stars in tg and toy and somber, the 3 best players on the team. This team should look forward to the next season, because I don't see them going anywhere right now. Bens should start preparing for the future, and has done well so far because he has 2 first round picks in the S12 draft. He should look for more as this team is going to struggle. At least they will have good chemistry! |
