Since ROBLOX intentionally removed mesh importing, I was wondering how you could get a 3D model, and convert it into ROBLOX, using parts, instead of a whole mesh. Thus, more lag, but it would be the only solution to getting meshes (complex put together parts) into ROBLOX. So.. my main question is.. how can this all be possible? A script? Plugin? Please let me know. Yes, I have read that there is a script so that it would re-construct the mesh, into ROBLOX triangles using vertices (vertex). So, I went ahead and looked at it, and in the title it said it broke. so does anyone have a working one? |

My question is, is there a new script on .obj to .rbxm? Or a plugin? Something?

Well I've seen some guys remake .obj meshes with roblox parts, BUT you end up with A LOT of parts.

They do it manually. As for a plugin, it would be like I said: Possible but unrealisticly hard |

No, not manually. I've seen really mad meshes imported in roblox. Like human mesh.

As parts? Are you sure it's not a manual build?

100% sure, it would be impossible to build it by hand. I forgot the user who did it, I'll try to find it.

Only rectangular bricks. I guess you could try to make it more efficient, by using parts, wedges and corner wedges.

Well, I guess someone has made it then. Still, no good for an actual place.

Indeed, so just stick to making stuff on roblox, than trying to import 3D models.

It should not be used for a real game. His models are imported for purely artistic purposes, and could not function as an actual place.
