If it weren't for the current set-up. I'd like to see a digital only, continuously updated sports game set in first person, perhaps using the upcoming VR headset from Sony.
Being able to play a basketball game with VR would actually be really cool, but the current set-up of the overhead eagle eye view is pretty boring. Sad enough is that they've been using the same setup since the 5th gen.
I have to say that this is something that's made me dislike EA, because here they have a firm grip on a genre that has some potential, and they waste it for the sake of time and money.

| I don't buy sports games, and i don't really play many sports, but if i wanted to play sports with realism, i think i'd just go outside. |

@meldo
I just didn't think sports games were that popular on PC.

@Shovuc
They are extremely popular in PC and PS2
That is a good idea, but yeah, you are better off going outside and playing, it's cheaper and more immersive.

i think the real way to make sports games good is arcade-style sports games yknow, those insane ones with the flashy "special moves" that set the ball on fire and launch it across the screen or something. those are the fun sports games |

The sports genre is alive thanks to people like my brother(Actual sports fans) who just want to play virtual football, he doesn't want anything new except better graphics every "New" release.
Fifa is a perfect match for his desire. |

"@Slash But what if there's nobody around, or the weather is bad?" I don't think paying 60 bucks for a game and a few hundred for a virtual reality thing is worth "oh the weather is bad". |

| I meant sports games in general, not with virtual reality. |

"I meant sports games in general, not with virtual reality." If I was a sports person I'm sure I'd buy a few sports games, but I wouldn't buy a virtual reality headset. |
