I just saw a game called "Live life in Flodira with an inappropriate thumbnail 5 seconds ago and I came up with this: First, and obvious, take that game down, and second, CD any thumbnail with people in swimsuits no matter what, and CD any game that has a CDed thumbnail, i'm really bored.
print ("get more mods") end |

You're making a rather unfounded claim, Nathan. Unless you have access to their financial records (which I would bet on you not having) to come to such a conclusion.
You're also assuming they have 100 moderators, which is another claim that you cannot make without looking at their personnel files. Again, something I'd wager a bet on you not having access.
Also, more moderators does not equate to better moderation. It equates to the same level of moderation, just at a higher volume. If you wanted better moderation you would increase the training provided to them, which would also likely make them more productive. |

They do not even have 80 staff members, and only a small number of them are moderators.
DataStore also makes some very excellent points, |

@Data More skilled mods, not more normal ones. It's simple, and, how do you say i know you have that small number of mods? Everyone knows it. 100 is even too big, i know there are less then 100 staff either, and not all staff are mods. I just suggested more image mods, ROBLOX has got tons of money, and only 100 staff? Like really? how is that possible? You should hire also mods out of US to cover all the timezones. It is just MY opinion, if it cannot be done, well, then bye. For the skilled mods thing, they should be shown a set of the item they moderate, comment mods get a comment set, image mods get an image set, and the sets contain some ok things, some so-so things and some inappropriate, if the mods only delete inappropriate or so-so stuff, they are accepted, if they delete OK stuff, then bye bye to the mod's career. Before being shown the sets of stuff to delete or not, they are given examples of what to delete and what not to delete. The image rules should be stricter though, i see many inappropriate images getting through. |

@Nathan, 1) You do not know how many staff they currently employ. Not every staff member, who works at ROBLOX, has an account on ROBLOX nor are they all visible. Their DevEx desk is led by someone from "Finance", but they don't have an account on ROBLOX, for example.
2) Moderators, to my knowledge, work in shifts. Some work nights, some work days. There is also the requirement of meetings, for example, so therefore foreign moderators would not be a valid option as they would be unable to attend meetings, or consult with other moderators easily. There may also be language issues.
3) That training equates to nothing. What you have described is a test, not training. Training would involve teaching the moderators new ways people have been smuggling images in, examples of "grey areas" - You can upload an image of a real person, in some circumstances but in others you can't.
There's a lot more to moderators than I think you understand. They don't just sit there wired to a machine, with a buzzer and screen, looking at the images whizzing past pressing the buzzer at random. |

@Data How come usually inappropriate games stay up not deleted for HOURS? In your statement you say they have mods up every time, then, why don't those mods do their work? |

They do do their work, so long as people actually report games and don't waste the time of the moderators by reporting people who aren't breaking rules, and so on.

Wait a second.... You say moderators, instead of constantly checking games, they check reports only? Weird, they need to check the Front Page atleast every 30 min or so |

Be aware, that mods can't be checking everything all the time. I haven't seen any of these kind of "inappropriate" images, and I'm on quite frequently, so I assume they're getting them down fast.

@Nathan, That's not what I was getting at. I was getting at that users reports are an integral part of the system. There are millions of assets which are "constantly" being updated. Unless ROBLOX had a force of a million moderators, everything can't be moderated as soon as it's added.
I would also like to say "stop being so silly" if you are indeed talking about the game MrPhelps just presented. ROBLOXians are not anatomically correct, and as such that thumbnail is breaking _NO_ rules, to my knowledge.
@Lottery, Volunteers moderators don't work out. In short: - Waste time training - Aren't always mature - Hard to put in meetings - Hoops have to be jumped through to allow for "minors" to work - Aren't always productive
Same issue. You're increasing the volume of moderation whilst decreasing the actual value of the moderation. |

Data is right. That thumbnail breaks no rules at all.
