I made this guide because it is simply faster than having to manually explain to every single High Rank in the FBI how to work the DataCenter. Below are subsections that contain different rank names. Read the information for your rank name, as it will explain how you can operate the DataCenter.
>>>1.1 Prime >>>1.2 Overseer-Council >>>1.3 Commander and Group Holder
>>>1.1 Prime<<< Since Prime is the lowest High Rank in the FBI, you have minimal abilities compared to other High Ranks, but enough to suit your purpose.
As a Prime, you have the ability to: create careers, add logs, and mark careers as priority. The sections below explain all of those abilities
>>Creating careers -When you enter the DataCenter as a Prime, you will get a panel toward the bottom of your screen that reads "Frost Battle Imperium DATA CENTER". -In the bottom left-hand corner of this panel, there is a button that reads "Create new career". -Clicking this button will open up a GUI that allows you to type in a name, and will create a career upon you clicking the "Done!" button on the bottom right-hand corner of that GUI.
>>Adding logs -You will first need to search a name to add a log. To do this, locate the box at the upper right-hand corner of the panel that reads "enter search term". -Type the name of the career into this box, and click the "Filter!" button. -If the list is blank after you do that, read the above section to create a career, then continue these steps. -After finding the career, click it and it should turn a lighter shade of grey. After this, click the button on the panel that reads "Open career". It is slightly below the search bar, and a little to the left. -Once you do this, a bigger version of the career should come up. Now, next to the "Create new career" button on the panel is an "Add log" button. Click this button to add a log. -A checklist of logs should appear. Select the one that suits your purpose and them fill in the RP amount and the Notes section. After this, click the "Done!" button on the bottom right-hand corner of the GUI. -NOTE: You can also click the "Show all careers" button above the "Create new career" button to view all listed careers.
>>Marking careers as priority -As there are many careers listed here, Higher Ranks don't have time to monitor all of them. Marking a career as priority is a way to bring attention to a career. -Take similar steps from the above section to open the career. -Once the career is opened, near the top right-hand corner should be a red button that reads "mark as priority". Clicking this will mark the career as a priority and add it to the list that all Overseers+ can view. -Once you mark a career as priority, follow similar steps from the above section to get to the GUI where you can add logs. -Select the Normal log as your option. -For notes, type "//PRIORITY//" then your reason for marking it as such, then add the log to the career.
In addition, Primes can only give or take a maximum of 65 RP at a time.
>>>Overseer-Council<<< As you have advanced in group power, you also now have advanced in DataCenter power.
You have all the powers of Primes(read them if you need to learn them still), but you also have new powers. They are: Viewing standard tasks, viewing priority tasks, changing ranks, deleting logs on careers, and removing careers. The sections below explain these abilities.
>>Viewing standard tasks -Next to the "Show all careers" button on the panel, there is a button that says "Filter standard tasks". -Clicking this will open up a window with all of the standard tasks. Some require promotions, some require demotions. -After you carry out the promotion/demotion, open the career and click the "mark as read" button which is below the mark as priority button.
>>Deleting logs -As there may be times where logs require deleting, in which a Prime would file a priority task, you would need to know how to do this. -After opening a career, the logs are listed. -In the upper right-hand corner of the logs, there a buttons that read "DELETE". -Clicking these will remove logs, and any RP added or taken as well(if that was what the log did).
>>Viewing priority tasks -As sometimes there may be misspellings of a career's name, or a log may need to be deleted, etc. a Prime would file a Priority log. -Next to the "Filter standard tasks" button, there is a "Filter priority tasks" button. Clicking this will op the priority task window. -Simply go through and handle all priority tasks listed, then mark them as read.
>>Removing careers -Sometimes a career may be misspelled, or something else may occur that makes a career need to be deleted. -If you open a career, there is a button that reads "REMOVE CAREER" underneath the "mark as read" button. -Clicking it once will cause it to ask you to confirm your choice, if you do, the career will be deleted.
>>Changing ranks -When a career needs a rank change (promotion or demotion), it will appear in your standard task window. -Open the career, and select the "Change rank" button next to the "Add log" button. -I have taken the liberty of pre-setting rank names, so it will recognize what you type, so that High Ranks can't change the rank name to something like "Elite warrior of FBI!!!11" -Once you type this in, click the "Done!" button and it will be changed.
In addition, Overseers-Council can only give or take a maximum of 150 RP at a time.
>>>Commander and Vice Commander As one of these top ranks, you have the abilities of all other lower ranks, plus a little something extra. You can suspend users.
>>Suspending users -By suspending a user, you alert High Ranks that this user is not to receive any RP. -This can be done by opening a career and clicking the "Suspend" button on your panel next to the "Change rank" button. -Suspensions can only be done, or undone by clicking this button. -Suspended careers cannot be marked as read.
In addition, the Commander and Group Holder can give or take an unlimited amount of RP. |
