| I'd like to be able to chat with anyone that does just for fun and learn other people's ways of doing things. I can create professional-looking websites and own two. |

| This isn't the place for this, but do feel free to PM me. Just never, ever use PHP when there are alternatives, or I will hunt you down and remove your programming license. |

| Can't post the link here, but just Google "PHP : A fractal of bad design". It works, but it's like using an orange as a hammer; outright stupid. |

With sufficient velocity, an orange could work fine as a hammer, but the orange would leak fluids and tear, and so with time, it gets harder and harder to use the orange as a hammer, but then you have a problem - bits of orange have been wedged underneath the screw and yo' OJ is making the wood damp, and attracting flies.
Ban hammers are cool tho |

| Correct me if I'm wrong, but Lua isn't a programming language. It's compiled in C, so it isn't converted to binary when it's run. |

| No, lua is a _scripting_ language. Hence Scripters and Scripts. |

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but Lua isn't a programming language. It's compiled in C, so it isn't converted to binary when it's run." The interpretter may be written in C, but Lua itself is converted to bytecode at runtime. |

I would say scripting languages are a subclass of programming languages so Lua would be a programming language in that sense.
You can make standaloneish programs in Lua cant you? |

| I don't know if you can make standalone programs in Lua, but I haven't seen any, so I don't consider it a programming language. |

| All of those are stupid. CSS isn't even "programming", nor is HTML. Python is OK, I suppose, and PHP is super insecure. |
