NASA has now created new ribbons that you can wear on your flightsuit! All you have to do is buy the tee shirt. Members DO NOT have to own the flightsuit to wear the ribbons. They may just buy the tee shirt and use the uniform morphs, but it is recommended that you buy the flightsuit.
-Contents- *Ribbon Name and Requirement* *Wearing ribbons* *Consequences* *Note for HR's*
-Ribbon Name and requirement- --Astronaut Ribbon: This ribbon is awarded to those who achieve the rank of Astronaut within NASA. --First Launch Ribbon: This ribbon is awarded to those who launch on the Space Shuttle or the Orion spacecraft. They will be give the award once they return back to Earth, and if they have performed sufficiently. --Docked with ISS Ribbon: This ribbon is awarded to those who dock with the International Space Station. It may require several docks before it is awarded. --Flight Commander Ribbon: This award is given to those who reach the rank of flight commander in NASA. It will be given to members after they complete flight commander training. --Veteran Ribbon: This ribbon is given to those who have been with NASA for a prolonged period of time. The minimum requirement is 8 launches, or 5 months of service. --High Rank Ribbon: This ribbon is awarded to anyone who achieves a rank above Mission Control. This ribbon may also be given to anyone above Astronaut who shows extreme courage or knowledge. This is the highest ribbon available, so it WILL NOT be given to anyone at or below the rank of Mission Control without a very strong reason. --Distinguished Member Medal: The distinguished member medal is for those who go above and beyond in the line of duty. They take on roles not in their job description, and lead the way for others. As it is a medal, it is only to be given in the most extreme circumstances. --Frequent Flyer Medal: This medal is for those who fly on the shuttle or are at launches and trainings very often. It is for those who do everything they can with NASA, and is only to be given to those in NASA for AT LEAST 6 months. --Space Medal of Honor: This medal is the highest award within NASA. Those who receive this medal are the best of the best. This award cannot be given for anything. It is only given in the rarest of circumstances. There are, so far, only two people in the history of NASA to receive this award. Mnethercutt- for creating and developing the manned space program. Rustycyborg-The groups owner, for exceptional leadership. This medal cannot be awarded without approval from at least 4 HR's.
-Wearing Ribbons- Ribbons will be worn on the blue flight suit. The player WILL NOT wear any medals they are not authorized to wear. Players may wear any of the medals described above once they are told by a HR. For a player to be authorized to wear a ribbon, the player must post on the wall that he/she received said award. The HR who awarded the player that ribbon/medal must also make a group shout/wall post immediately following the player receiving that award.
-Consequences- If a player wears any medal or ribbon they have not been awarded, that player will IMMEDIATLY be demoted back to the application rank, and stripped of all other medals. If this offence happens, more than once, they will be banned from all NASA bases permanently, and exiled from NASA.
-Notes for HR's- Don't give these things out like crazy. Only give them to those who deserve them. Make sure to post on the wall or shout after you give somebody the award. If you question whether or not a player has received said award, view the audit log. You MUST be able to view the audit log to give a player a ribbon/medal. Thank you. |
