Some of my classmates just annoy me.
They won't stop reading like each word is a sentence and they skip over punctuation. |

I feel you.
There are kids in my class who say "procrastinate" like:
pro-CRAY-STINE-ATE.
Then they take words like undulating and say "UNE-DOO-LAH-TIENG."
They read each section of a word out loud like 3rd grade...

majority of the girls in my class (the boys in my class don't read cause they're "too cool") obsess over books like the hunger games, divergent, fault in our stars, etc. i swear it's the most annoying thing.

At my school it's so bad no one reads out loud. And I'm not allowed to because I "read too fast" |

Hunger Games honestly was written really poorly It just has a good concept that intrigues people into reading it

I have actually READ those 3 books, (And the 2 follow up books to Divergent and Hunger games), But I don't obsess over it. I read it, Talk about it for 30 mins to an hour with my bookworm friend, Then we both start to think of another book to read. When we both read, I'm told to slow down, And my friend is told to read louder AND slower. The boys read roo, But it's books like those, And I swear, it took a guy about 3 weeks to read Fault In Our Stars while it took me about 3-5 days. |

The false sense of superiority shown by several participants of this discussion is ridiculous.
Altofvio: Disinterest or distractions likely hindered him.

@Two people that replied to me
He didn't cringe or have disinterest, At the least from what I heard, He just reads that slow. It's like 7 pages every 10 minutes. |
