Just to make this clear with everyone why the majority hates powerclans. This includes from a clan member up to a clan leader.
Powerclans are usually new clans that are opened by a once successful leader. In a race to get the highest rank in that clan, seeing his previous clan was a success (as to why they have many members and hype at the start), the members try to aim for the highest level of acitivity.
What's wrong with that? A soldier can be loyal to whom he wants!
Well that's the problem, if the solider starts to foucs on a clan that has just been released. The clan he was with is going to get affected. How? Maybe he is a high rank that hosts loads of activities. Maybe he is an active member that had loads of friends in the superclan or such. So the clan that he was in before gets affected by his loyalty switch.
Okay, clans get affected, what else?
Since my experience in being in one of the most famous and unforgettable hype clan, Tza, I can clearly state that it become WAY inactive due to the leader not hosting proper activities and also starting a new project after every week. Which resulted in the mockery of Tza 2.0. After Tza, I moved on to a bit of RAA, (helping them with a war against TSD within Tza.) TSD had an awesome base, again the same hype and such, however after defeating R.A.A, the leader well left leading the clan for some odd reason. Most rumours state that he got depressed with everyone hating him and all. So a few days later R.A.A was the true victor, why? Because it has been there for a long time. Longer then TSD. Now then came TSG, again the same core, wonderfully designed bases. And a really huge hype. When we were at invading FEAR, we had loads of problem with one touch terminal, but once we got used to gathering the right positions, it became easy.
However activity started to go down, one of the main reason would be the clan never actually felt like a real clan. Since TSG was filled with Vaktovians, some of them went free as in complete freedom. Others got sick and tired of the constant immaturity. I still remember to this date, at the really new start of TSG, whenever GustFlame shouted for a spar. The place we actually messed about was at lobby, but that got fixed after a few days, with stricter rules imposed. Then it got not really important for me as TGI was fighting NFC, straight after R.A.A, which required me to focus more on the war up hand then the "side" clan. So did Vaktovians left TSG as it was getting invaded by them. It started to die off slow by slow. Yet it maintained average level of activity as a superclan would do.
So what's the problem? Sometimes leaders can't make the group in to the right path as they would want it to be. I'm not doubting the leader's leading skill, however they just lose that one passion that would force them to scratch the idea and restart it. And as the members usually care about ranks. After they reach certain ranks, they would just feel proud, but not help the group itself. Sure leading a few raids is good. What about how the members feel about the group? I sure as heck wanted to help TGI, however my big problem was the timezone, knowing the person I am, in any group I am in, I would want to help that group achieve to a certain extent.
Tl;dr
So the real question, should powerclans be given a chance?
Well looking at the current powerclans, VAK, TGI, RAA, V O I D, TRICON
VAK, TGI, RAA have spent years building up their structure, sure leader might be inactive however they yet have the passion to keep it alive.
V O I D, it has certain requirements, and of course following those requirements would mean that you are loyal to it.
TRICON, I do not know what type of clan it would be, most likely a poweclan.
Powerclans are ok as long as they don't drain the user activity from the group as he is supposed to help in.

| As i said before, new hyped powerclans are filled with clan hoppers, and when clan hoppers get bored, they leave that clan. Also, i think why tsg died is because no clan wanted to go to war with them. |

But to be honest, I think people hate upon them because they are intimidated.
