It's set in the habitable, earth-like moon of a gas giant, with a massive percentage of it (even moreso than earth) being water. This allows for a relatively large in-game map without being too big, but still fitting in with the lore (i.e tamriel is actually smaller than the U.S).
It is different because it is an FPS which can switch views between an officer and a general.
And no, it's not a "pew pew pew lasers star wars laser battles" kind of FPS; it's a lot more grounded in reality. For instance: Kevlar, does not necessarily reduce the amount of damage certain bullets will do. However, what it does do is stop small rounds (i.e 9mm) from causing harm to where it is fired upon, and the more expensive the Kevlar the bigger the caliber it can cope. Realistically though, it can't really cope more than pistol rounds. Of course, you can invest in halo style "full-armour", but in reality it's only really shock troopers and space boarding parties who use it.
General mode chooses what equipment the soldiers can use, which regions to lead campaigns upon, when to engage, political decisions, etc. But when it is time to engage, you lead a squad of men. Of course, you can switch to your general map and start ordering other squads to do things, or order air strikes or reconnaissance or reinforcements, etc.
The war is fought by three factions (or just two if you play with a certain style). The Empire of [name], The [name] Republic (that's you), and The Resistance.
There is AI for the locals, and not just the enemies. Say you rule a town called "townsville", and you do something they bitterly dislike. First there will be protests, then riots (you can manage the riot officer's equipment likewise and overview their battles), and then eventually full-on resistance fighting. If you do something unfavorable (i.e loot it for materials) to a town ruled by neither faction, there will be no riots/protests, just straight to the resistance fighting. Of course, if you play in a certain way, the resistance fighters will simply not exist. If you do favorable things (which take quite a bit of effort), you might gain the favour of the people and recruit local militias.
There's air battle, land battle, tank battles and naval battles ;D |

I guess you'd like the space battles then
it's the only time realistically hand weapons would use super-charged lasers |

Plus there should be 4 different responses to people and each different thing you say reacts to the player and everything around them. Like in real life. |

oh there's also these kinds of rifles called "reactor rifles"
basically instead of bullet there are gas cannisters (pls find a cool name for it)
and instead of a firing pin there is a reaaally reactive crystal
the gas reacts with the crystal, making an extremely bright beam fired from it
depending on the kind of crystal, it either does more or less damage than a bullet
because it's a beam you don't have to compensate for wind or drop-off or the Coriolis effect
but, however, it is extremely noticeable and will give you away a lot more quickly |

"Petroleum cannisters?
Propane tanks?"
These aren't fictional materials, though. I imagined it as being a fictional element. |

Well, it wouldn't sell because of one reason.
The 12 year olds that play CoD will not have brains capable of understanding it, thus reducing your amount of sales. They like call of duty because it is easy to understand the basic idea for them, just find people and click on them. It still would sell good, but it would not have amazing sales. |

Sad though it is, it's true.
It'd be cool if I could make this one day with a team, where'd we'd be more concerned with being the best studio on earth rather than making money. |
