The US buffed Western Europe after WWII with the Marshal Plan and still today provides the bulk of military defense for NATO.

There, I propose Europe pays for our healthcare and education since we payed for them and their safety.

OR, we could just cut our own military spending to put the funds into our own healthcare and education, and watch Russia and China have their way with Europe.

It's the same concept as Canada.

They feel safe enough with the US military that they put more money into their social welfare programs.

You think we'll pay for your health care just because you joined WW1+2 late... you only joined WW2 because of Pearl Harbour

No, not just because we had to save you in both World Wars, there's also rebuilding Western Europe after WWII and continuing to provide ample military protection to this day.

You saved the allies, but not the axis or the soviet union in WWII and you didn't really save us in WWI.

You didn't had to save us in both world wars, you just wanted to or how could the number of US soldiers rise that fast during the WWII?

Well, the United States does have one of the strongest militaries in the United Nations.

There certainly was a big impact made by the USA in both world wars.
It took such a long time to get involved with WWII due to something we can date back to the days of George Washington's presidency, yes, THAT long ago. He proposed iscolationism and neutrality for the United States, except in cases of us being raided, like Pearl Harbor.

The Marshall Plan provided Marshall Aid, which was just that - aid, not a loan or,indeed, any actual transfer of money at all; that's not how Marshall Aid worked.

Each country told USA exactly what it needed - commodities such as raw materials, food, fuel, finished manufactures such as tractors, technical expertise and assistance from American personnel. These were then supplied direct by the USA to each country as required. There was no transfer of cash from the US government to any European (or other) government under the Marshall Plan.

As the purpose of the Marshall Plan was aid to rebuild a Europe shattered by WW2, there was no request or intention of anyone having to repay anything to USA under the Marshall Plan.Further, as part of its purpose was to keep Americans in jobs after WW2 ended,as they were producing things for Europe, it kept the US economy booming at the time, so Europe automatically paid any debt to USA for Marshall Aid this way.

" President Harry Truman signed the Marshall Plan on April 3, 1948, granting $5 billion in aid to 16 European nations. During the four years that the plan was operational, US donated $13 billion in economic and technical assistance to help the recovery of the European countries that had joined in the Organization for European Economic Co-operation.

[...]

The Marshall Plan money was in the form of grants that did not have to be repaid.[87]"

I think it's time for the US to pay China back more than trillion dollars that were borrowed.
