I want to download the mesh of a hat and import it into my 3D modeling software. Any ideas of how to do that?

1)Find the hat you want in freemodels 2)View the "MeshId" property in the mesh object. 3)Copy the MeshId link, and paste it in your web browser, it should bring up a download form/window for the file. 4)It is going to be in a .mesh format, which as far as I know isn't even an official format recognized by most programs (I think it's also called OGRE .XML), so you will need to convert it into some other format somehow like a .obj. (A long time ago, there was a .mesh importer for anim8or, which you could then use to export as a .obj) |

They've added a new button which will show you the hat ID, sometime's it won't show up but it'll be fixed.

I figured it out on my own. I had to put it into blender and then move it to sketch up though. I can now make physical models of the hats that you can actually wear now.

Please do not sell those, if you did you had to give credits, else it's basically a crime.

I don't intend on selling them. Unsure if I'd even actually make one. Might make a Chronoterminus but Idk really. I just wanted to learn more about 3D modeling by looking at structures of hats
