In studio, us Robloxians should be able to change weather, such as rain, snow, and storms, maybe even mix the three. Each type of weather can be customized to a person's desire. An example of this:
Rain: Level of Rain- Heavy, Wind- Low, Wind Direction- West or Snow: Level of Snow- Light, Wind- Very Low, Wind Direction- East
The weather would also effect the appearance of the world, such as wet floors and thick snow. Of course this would also come with sounds such as rain pattering against concrete. I feel this would give games a more cinematic feel and increase the quality in games. This definately should be an option on Roblox, if it isn't already. |

No support. Scripters can easily do this if they want. |

I literally just made a weather system in 30 minutes using lighting properties and some GUIs... Yeah, no. This is scriptable = not gonna happen

| Support, I can script, but I just want others users to have it to, and it would be easier... |

No support.
1. It will cause MAJOR lag in game. 2. There are plugins and scripts already capable of that. |

So, the plugins and scripts are alright, but this causes lag? |

No support. Here's why:
1) It is easily scriptable.
Rain: Write a script that makes rain-like parts randomly fall from the sky. Or, if you're really wanting something good, make them local parts to reduce lag by making them only appear near the player. A third option is to add a GUI, but this usually fails.
Snow: Works the same as rain, just make the parts more snow-like. You could also make them cancollide (although this lags after time) and add a bodyvelocity object to make them fall more slowly. Layers of snow can be parts on top of already existing parts.
Wind: Body movers (bodyvelocity, bodyforce, etc.) can accomplish this easily.
Effects: Sounds can be uploaded or bought. Wet floors are scriptable by modifying a couple of properties or adding a decal.
2) Roblox effects wouldn't be any better than user-made effects
User-made effects use parts or GUIs. Guess what roblox would use? The same thing. Plus, you couldn't do as much as you wanted. Layers of snow and wet floors would glitch. It wouldn't be as easily customizable because you don't have access to the script.
3) It would lower creativity.
Users wouldn't be pushed to make realistic weather systems as much because roblox could do it all for them.
And that is why I don't support. Plus, it's oversuggested. |

The game gets really laggy if it's scripted on a intermediate level. But it's possible make it less laggy. However, that requires some advanced scripting.
This guy for example, did it. http://www.roblox.com/User.aspx?ID=4719353 But he recently locked the place. http://www.roblox.com/umg-it-rainz-place?id=22164223
He made a GUI that makes snow/rain taht reacts on player and camera movements. If ROBLOX could take an example from him and improve, it would be nice. |

| @vvrocks If you can't script you wouldn't need this because all famous games require advanced scripting. |

| When you talk about rain and snow I don't mean bricks that look like them, I mean actual super thin strands of rain and snowflakes. Plus it would be easier for people who can't script and may prevent lag. |
