"The U.S has over 70 million registered gun owners, with over 300 million firearms."
that's something to be ashamed of, not proud of.
china on their own would take most of the us with sheer numbers alone. their military is growing in size and strength and they have the resources to get better technology. russia's tech is absolutely putrid but their skill is actually good (see spetsnaz).
russia v us = us china v us = china russia and china v us = absolute annihilation of the us

I myself am a gun owner, I hunt with my dad and I go to a shooting range. There is nothing wrong with having LEGAL gun ownership. If a person goes through all the checks, has no criminal background, no felonies, and has no mental issues, I'd say if they're over 18 they could purchase a firearm. This is an old argument, but legal gunowners are not the ones that cause the killings. Chicago, one of the most anti-gun cities in the U.S, has a MASSIVE murder rate that is far higher than states with the most relaxed gun laws.
Armed citizens is what started the nation, and it's what will make any invasion of the mainland a living hell for an enemy. |

so is the army going to cross the ocean by walking or are they going to have to face a larger and superior air force and navy? We also have resources. And as for skill the US has that too. The US has superior tech. |

That costs money to do and then you have to get faculty and etc. It isn't that easy. Also how are we going to make them when we do not have factories in the first place. |

"British fighting British over Native American land" Inaccurate and generalizing.
They were not fighting over native american land, the Colonists, who didn't consider themselves British anymore, save for some Loyalists, didn't feel that the Crown and Parliament were doing much for them except treating them like second-class citizens, and they felt that the government far, far away in England was a tyranny, so they declared independence.
And those that declared independence were not professional soldiery. No, they were businessmen, fishermen, blacksmiths, carpenters, freed slaves, any citizen could have been a Patriot. So yes, this nation did originate from armed citizenry. |

But bringing back the last thing you said about china using their own goods, aren't they already are? The US buys so much stuff from china that if they stopped both of their economies would be hit hard |

| Wait, here's a crazy idea, instead of debating who would win in a theoretical war, why don't we debate the best way to avoid starting one. |
