Vertex shaders have been used since the late 1990's
Pixel shaders since the early 2000's

I've seen plenty of old 3D-games which uses one or both of these shaders.

The effects they create is needed in ROBLOX.

Bloom, (Makes things glow)
Blur, (
Warp,
Motion blur,
Distort,
Lenceflare,
Pixely shadows, (shades character and/or enviroment or selected parts.)
Reflection, (Mirror.)
BrightnessContrast, (Change brightness and contrast)
and more.

The effects I listed could be created with vertex shader and/or pixel shader.


Let's say we have a block.
We could insert "Special effect" into it.
We make the block invinsible.
We have a list of the listed effects and choose "Blur"
Everything you see in the invinsible brick gets blurry.
You can adjust the amount of effect on the brick.
And so on...

You get what I mean?

I don't think this is will affect the performance much, since some of the effects was already used on for example N64, PS1, PS2, Xbox and Gamecube. And those consoles handled it pretty well when the developers did it right.

All I'm asking for is not the super modern HD effects. I'm asking for fast old-fashioned effects.

This can revolutionize Roblox.

But these effects can be used for SO many things! Not just first-person shooters!

Roblox need these effects for builders to become more creative! It can improve roblox games by a milestone!

Well, 90% of the effects does NOT look pixelrated.

Most things in games that are pixely; are characters' shadows... Nothing else.

I mentioned old effects that the (for example) N64 and PS2 could handle. And both of the systems had low RAM capacity. So I'm sure every computer, laptop and mac could handle it fairly easy.
