| You should see a doctor or local physician right away, red discoloration of stool may be a result of internal bleeding. |

No, no, this COULD be serious, OR it could be totally harmless! If there are solid, dark spots of red or liquid red like blood coming out with it or visible in it, it's probably blood. This could be serious, and you should call your doctor. But, if it appears to be a slight red color throughout, it's most likely harmless. This happened to me once; it appeared to be tinted red, and it was just because I'd eaten a big red velvet cupcake! Even just eating a lot of strawberries could probably cause this to happen, but it's mostly red dye that does it, and there's an arse load of that in red velvet cake. |
