So I haven't seen any CYOA's in a very long time so I thought I'd start one. The genre is Medieval time zones.
The sound of birds chirping is heard all around you and your group, all around you stand around five Men and Three Women, Random strangers who you have set off on a quest with. The weather is rather hot, the sun beating down upon you and your group with no water in sight as you navigate your way throughout the wild, but your group seems to be content. As time passes by and you continue walking onward. When you hear a howl from the distance. "Was that a wolf?" says one woman, nervously. You and your group increase your pace, intent on finding shelter before nightfall. Sadly, as you continue, the moon begins to rise and soon your group enters thick woodlands. Yet people are lagging behind, drowsy. And the howls of nearby wolfs can be heard echoing off of the trees.
What should we do?
[A] Let's set up camp for tonight, wolves or not people need their sleep. [B] We need to continue walking, maybe we can outrun them [C] Try to play dead, when they come to try and eat our 'remains' we surprise them

You and the five men pulled daggers, lying flat on the ground alongside the women, who wield knives. Time passes, moments feel like hours as you and your group fights exhaustion. Your nearly asleep, your eyelids just closing- The snap of a twig rouses you, and you begin to hear the hungry growls of the starving pack as they draw closer to your group. Your hold on you dagger tightens, as the wolf begins sniffing you, "one..two.." You roll over, burying the dagger deep into the wolfs eye. It whimpers loudly, surprised, then falls to the ground moving. You'd killed it. The rest of the group follows suit, unfortunately the wolves are expecting their attack. Some dodge, others, aren't so lucky, and fall to the ground unmoving as well. One wolf remains, it charges a group member, burrowing its teeth into his throat, he cries out, blood gushing from the wound.
What do you do?
[A] We need to help him! Race to his rescue [B] Screw him, we need to go! Run

B. Rescue whoever isn't doomed already, but waste no time waiting for them either.

"Run!" You yell, "Grab the wolves and go!" The group nods, grabbing the wolves dead bodies and racing after you. Your footsteps echo off of the grass as you race through the tree, leaping over roots and such. You run and run until you just can't go on anymore. So you break into a fastwalk, your group trailing behind you. Eventually, you break through the trees into a clearing and fall to your knees beside a freshwater stream, gulping down water. Your group is exhausted, and you've lost a man, but you all seem okay.
What should we do now?
[A] set up camp, we need some sleep! [B] Begin gathering materials for huts [C] Skin the wolves, They'll make excellent coats and make for good food [D] 'Repopulate' if you catch my drift
(FYI You can choose multiple options at once) |
