Someone mentioned that VAK can rack up 60-150 members etc.
That's great and all, but if we can manage with a lot less than that, idk mang, it works. Skill > Numbers
Anyhow, that's not the point to be debated.
I'm referring to the old SMO;
You remember how cheap it was. The raiders' spawns were farther than VAKs. VAK spawned relatively in the middle, basically adjacent to the gate. So even if you ended up killing them, they'd respawn, with FF, coming in your way to get to the side entrance. You were basically facing an onslaught of them repeatedly, so it didn't matter if there were 3-7 VAKs. Because of the ludicrous spawn distance coupled with the FF time given, it was a pain.
Not only this, but VACs spawned around the field, obviously away from the raiders' spawns, closer to VAK's. Yet another vexatious trial.
But it gets worse. The limit at that time was that there had to be at least 3 VAK in the server for it to be official. Not VAC, VAK. It was seen that VAC did a better job of being active, well, at least more than VAK, for that matter (now I wonder the real reason seeing the correlation of complaints from RAT and TGI of VAK purposely avoiding a server). So by the time you got 3 VAK, there'd already be a couple of VAC in there. The server limit was 20. Imagine that, huh?
Not only do you have a server that now has a good portion of the enemy team, their spawns are right in front of the pragmatic option of getting into the base. Ridiculous.
Furthermore, there was that ATAC that only VAK could use. Something that has tons of health, can shoot missiles and other projections, along with the fact that it can carry people, used specifically for VAK, to vantage points for sniping.
Read that again. The fact that that was even a thing portrays how unreasonable this was.
Since VAK were closer to the base, they had a better chance of also obtaining other weapons from the armoury. VAK's spawns were closer to the side jumps, so obviously they could get to that in a lot quicker. There was also an exclusive door at the raider spawn's side jumps for VAK only, killing any non-VAK. So VAK could get in the base and use that to ambush those who had to resort to egg jumping since VAK made it immensely difficult to get to the prescribed entrance.
Moreover, if you were a specific rank, you got a sniper (pretty sure some really high rank though, nevertheless, you remember the OPness of the snipers). And if you were VAK or a specific rank, I can't remember, you got a side pistol. No matter how weak it was, anything like that is useful when in a gun fight, obviously.
The terminal was not 20 minutes, not 25, it was 30. It used to automatically begin taking itself back once a VAK just stepped on it for a mere 2 seconds or so, conveniently glitching.
Yet, in the first portion of the war FC was leading by a load more wins.
Then Vaktus asked for a cease fire. Dignatio agreed.
After the second war started, the amount of VAK required was not 3, it was 5. 5 VAK required in a 20 limit server where VAK spawn too close to the gate and right in front of where the raiders had to go. We could go around the sides of course, but VAK, generally with their FF, would just start shooting. It wasn't very spacious, if you can remember.
The problem of VAC getting in the server before VAK and then filling themselves up was ridiculous. You basically have people fighting for you with an already cheap spawn location but they don't count towards anything and they're much more active, unfortunately.
This made it manifold more difficult. It doesn't end there.
VAK began abusing the ATAC like no tomorrow. It could be respawned and reused to their desire. It was so overpowered but there was absolutely nothing we could do about it. But even so, we pulled through. Then they decided to get the ATAC camped in the terminal room, so that no one could come through the small and only entrance to the room. You couldn't do anything about it and it wasn't dealt with at all.
Evidence was also shown that Fort Wolf indeed was exploited by VAK. I remember, our bows were broken for some reason, the server would not shut down even if people left. VAK raided that one, and in fact did end up winning that one server.
Other evidence showed that they exploited servers on purpose when they knew they were losing to "not suffer the humiliation of defeat".
Majority of their wins came from empty server raiding in the second portion of the war. I wouldn't really call it what they did empty server raiding, but we it wasn't reasonable in my opinion. Anyhow, we attempted to do the same but were banned three times in three different raids by Liam when it was palpable that we were going to win.
So we couldn't use that method at all. Realistically speaking, shouldn't that nullify those raid wins by VAK? I guess not, since somehow this'll be justified along with the other bs that was justified by VAK.
Because this was the literal height of partisanship, some of us ranted to Dig to increase the limit of FC supposed to be present, the raid time and the server size. All were doing in minute quantities, barely changing anything. No one was happy with that but we didn't want to stoop to such a low level.
It didn't even last for a week. Only for a few days I believe, so it didn't do anything.
I could go so much more in depth and elaborate on too many things, but you get the picture.
See, logically speaking, at that time, VAK was unfair. FC was fair.
We still ended up having more wins (and should be given more and some should be taken away from VAK).
Make the choice for yourself. I'd honestly write a lot more but it's so late and I need to go to sleep soon. |

| lets not forget the fact there have been servers where fc had actually managed to win outnumbered 5 to 1, even if it was like grey knights raiding. |
