Hello all - are you irritated with visiting a game with a fake thumbnail or expected the game to be better then in the picture? Well, I've got a solution... probably. (We'll see how this goes.)
Since comments are pretty much useless nowadays, and usually scam games disallow them, I've got a better alternative. Sure, the like/dislike system HAS actually been working quite well, but as a developer, WHY did I get those dislikes? What could I improve? What could I add/remove? All of those answers could be given through this system.
Now, before I go on further with how critiques work, let me just say this: - they SHOULD NOT have an option to be disabled. (nospamplz) - they SHOULD be moderated, not by the place owner, but by the moderators.
This way, they can be actual PLACE REVIEWS and not a bunch of things like "great game!" and "omg this is the best game ever", and you could actually see the negative aspects of the game to see the place fully as a game player or developer.
This is (somewhat) how they should look:
Critique Title (i.e "Great game, but needs work") Like/dislike (should match what they clicked under the place thumbnail) Critique Description (at least 1000 characters)
So, do you support? Woo! No support? Tell me why? I think this would be an excellent step forward for ROBLOX development. Not only does it prevent scam games a little bit more, but it also helps developers out to make their games even better by being able to easily access feedback.
