training activities can accomplish a lot more than a raid.
you can do everything and more at a training session in retrospect to a raid, minus the "winning" benefit.

"training activities can accomplish a lot more than a raid."
but if all you do is train, what are you training for? |

because raids can be a burden sometimes, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't attend. everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
and there are other things you can do in a group, mind you.

"but if all you do is train, what are you training for?"
training is important, yes. but the question you ask pretty much asks a question about the entire game. like i said, most people attend even if they don't want to because they feel they have to.
you can also train for defenses or just showing off.

"and there are other things you can do in a group, mind you."
based on most clans' trainings those other things include "standing in lines for extended periods of time while watching other people fight", "complaining about standing in line", and the ever-so-fun "discipline training" |

"like i said, most people attend even if they don't want to because they feel they have to."
if you're attending events on a game because of a perceived obligation to it you really need to re-evaluate your life |

there isn't much else you can do than what you stated except community activity, like a game night.
then again, some people consider defending a bit more fun than raiding because of the "home advantage".

"then again, some people consider defending a bit more fun than raiding because of the "home advantage"."
i was including that in the "raiding" statement because i like defending as well but training accomplishes next to nothing |

i get your point.
but people sometimes only attend training events because they're fun, and you get promoted (depending on the group).
