I love how everyone has said that they learned to script easily.

Roblox lol no. And i'd prefer the classics. Anyway, without scripting it would be like oder paties and junk like that. |

| Without scripting most games will just be plain text telling you what happens like reading a story with a ton of breaks. It'll also be a building showcase. |

| The Touched event is a basic script. Read the Wiki or watch a youtube video. You gotta have logic to script. If you don't have any, then get some. |

1#. a function has an 'end' like this:
fucntion wee() --Stoof end
2#. To detect something is hitting it, put an int into the function parameters.
function wee(hit) --other st00f end
3#. Now to do things or check the thing we hit is a player, like this:
function wee(hit) local human = hit.Parent:FindFirstChild("Humanoid")
if human ~= nil then print("Yey.") elseif human == nil then print("Nooooo") end end
4#. Now, call the function.
function wee(hit) local human = hit.Parent:FindFirstChild("Humanoid")
if human ~= nil then print("Yey.") elseif human == nil then print("Nooooo") end end
script.Parent.Touched:connect(wee)
5#. Now, we put this into a brick, and test it. This should work.

i learned to script by changing the little things first
then continually bigger things
but you fail to understand syntax, and fail to understand the big things in scripting |

I don't understand the grammar in scripting. Like why put two equal signs, etc. I prefer java, which I am currently trying to learn.

| The two equal signs are to differentiate between setting values and returning whether something is equal to something else. |
