■1■ Introduction

Special forces (SF), or special operations forces, are military units highly trained to perform unconventional, often high-risk missions. Special forces, as they are recognized, emerged in the early 20th century, with a significant growth in the field during the Second World War. Those who came before this new generation of fighters fought hard and without hesitation. The Special Forces now asks the very same of you.

■2■ How to Join

SF is NOT an application based group. To get into SF, you must attend one of our daily tryouts. At these tryouts, you must complete all activities you're instructed to, and you must impress your trainers.

Tryouts are normally held at least, but not limited to, two times a week. They are held only once a day, if at all. Tryouts are often not scheduled, meaning that you will have to be wary of the USA shout, as that is where it is shouted.

Tryouts are normally held, but not limited to, at either of the following places:

■3■ How to Act

You must always show what you would if you were filling out an application or trying out. You must use proper grammar, follow orders well, and be respectful and cooperative of teammates.

In Washington, D.C., or New York City, NY, you must abide by the US laws and SF rules at all times - even if you are on a different team. You are also required to speak with grammar at all times, especially on the radio. You are required to address superiors in the USA or any agency as "sir" or "ma'am" whenever speaking to them. Address the President as "Mr. President" if you have the privilege of meeting him or her.

When outside or inside of D.C. or NYC, you will not leak information about the USA or SF. You cannot threaten the USA or SF in any way; it will be seen as a serious threat and be handled in the courts of law.

We respond to serious crimes. We are not law enforcement. Leave the petty crimes to the law enforcers, who are; USCP, NYPD, DHS, and SWAT.

■4■ Punishments

Special Forces superiors reserve the right to suspend or exile anyone at any time for anything.

Crimes & Punishments:
■ Unjustifiable murder | Exile
■ Reckless driving | 1-day suspension
■ Ramming | 2-day suspension
■ Breaking into restricted grounds | 4-day suspension/exile
■ Wrongful arrest | 7-day suspension/exile
■ Insubordination | 1-day suspension*
■ Disrespecting coms | 1-day suspension*
■ Disrespecting fellow members | 1-day suspension*
■ Disrespecting superiors | 3-day suspension*

*Superiors reserve the right to take further action with any punishment.
Superiors also reserve the right to punish for any other crime - no matter how small - you are found doing.

■5■ Duties

Special Forces is not a law enforcement agency. Special Forces handles high-priority cases. What this means is that we do not go around arresting people for misdemeanor offenses or even recklessly driving, unless we have reason to believe that the perpetrators are a grave threat.

Special Forces is to be active. Members are required to:
■ Be active
■ Post on the SF wall once a day
■ Patrol D.C. once a day
■ Wear uniforms when on SF team
■ Take down serious criminals
■ Respect everyone
■ Respect the coms*

*When "respect the coms" is said, it means that you are not to speak on the coms about foolish, trivial matters. Speaking to friends over the coms or failing to realize the coms are serious will lead you to be guilty of disrespecting the coms.

■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■

■6■ How to Shout (Unit XO+)

The use of abbreviations allows members to know what the post will be composed of or who is it addressed to. Anyone who shouts in SF is to use the following abbreviations before posting.

■ [ANNOUNCE] | Announcement
■ [BACKUP] | Back up needed
■ [TRYOUT] | Tryout
■ [TRAIN] | Training
■ [MSG] | Message
■ [MEETING] | Meeting
■ [EVENT] | Event
■ [FORUM] | Forum link

Note that you are not limited to using just these. You are recommended to use these alone. However, if needed, you may create your own so long as they are short and display what it is meant to abbreviate in an obvious way.

■7■ FAQ

Q: When will I be accepted (I have already sent an application)?
A: If 5 days pass and you have not received word of your acceptance, you most likely have not been accepted. Since we are a busy group, we have time only to respond to those who have passed.

Q: When will I be accepted (I attended a tryout, but wasn't accepted)?
A: You must be patient. Not every rank in the group can accept people; only the director can. The director is a busy person. So, when he can get around to it, it will be done.

Q: What is the maximum member amount for SF?
A: The Special Forces strives to keep the most active people. This means that frequently there are exiles of inactive members. SF tends to keep under 75 people in its ranks.

Q: What do we do if we see abuse?
A: You are not to report any abuse without picture or video proof. Once you have picture or video proof, you are to message the leaders of the group to whom the abuser belongs. If the abuser is in SF, do the same but report it to the Director of SF.

Q: Can I let my friend into Special Forces?
A: They must pass the tryout or application to get in like anyone else. If it is found out that you and your friend(s) did otherwise, you will be exiled immediately.

Q: Can anyone send an application?
A: Special Forces is not biased. We do not reject an application from anyone, other than terrorists or known criminals. SF does background checks on its members; so, we will remove anyone found in violation of the necessary behavior for SF.

Q: When are tryouts?
A: As said prior in this guide, tryouts are randomly held. They are rarely scheduled.
