I never see toys in cereal boxes anymore. Darn, man. That was the bomb. I didn't want the cereal! No! I wanted the toy! Oh, and it got even better when they put video games in there. Yeah, I got a bunch of PC games on my shelf like Frogger and Roller Coaster Tycoon that I got in cereal boxes. That was sweet.
Hm...Does the lack of toys have anything to do with that stupid American law you guys have where it's illegal to put non edible things inside of food? Cause I knows Kinder Surprise is banned in the US, and they're frikkin' awesome. |

My cereal boxes always had either the really crappy plastic toys or the forums where you'd have to send in a ton of box tops for a prize of some sort.

@penguin
Crappy! Good God, man. I don't know what they were thinking. If they were worried about getting sued, just put a big label on the front saying that the toy ain't edible and pull a Mickey D's and put it in a separate bag or something.
That toy was good marketing. You knows all the kids would beg their parents for the cereal so they could get that glorious toy. |

| I got both Roller Coaster Tycoon and like.. the windows 98 version of the PC version of Operation in a cereal box. Definitely the best thing ever. |

I wouldn't even be able to tell you how much I played those games, though.
I have one memory where I was over to a friends house and he was playing Roller Coaster Tycoon. He went to use the bathroom, during which I found out about those pre made parks and I opened up Diamond Heights. Just as I started to come to terms with what I was looking at, he came back and we both started freaking out because we had this huge theme park all to ourselves. It was awesome.
I know it ain't a huge accomplishment to simply open up a pre made park, but all we knew how to do was start a new game and begin building. |

I remember getting toys in cereal boxes. I remember once I stole the toy out of my grandma's cereal when I was little. I felt AWFUL about it. |
