I have been on Roblox since 2010. I have not been active recently and am no longer involved with clans on Roblox, but I felt like writing this. So, here we go.
You want a good clan? You want an active clan? Well, you might just be reading the right thread. Now, you'll have people tell you to get a good logo, get a good base, run ads, use this system, have these rules, etc. Sure, those are great, but I see plenty of clans with all of those that are empty shells. I've seen plenty of great clan bases that are empty and devoid of members and people. So, throw what you have heard and know out the window and accept the facts.
Roblox is a game. This is not the military. If people don't want to follow orders, they won't. It won't matter if you threaten to exile them if they don't care about even being in your clan. Why do people play Roblox and join clans? They do it to have fun and make friends. So, there in lies the key. Your clan has to be fun and members and yourself need to become friends. It can be a serious clan to an extent, but it requires some level of friendship between people. This of course requires you to be highly active. If you are not going to be on Roblox almost daily then there is no point in running a clan. Just go join a good one.
So, how do I get people to join? Forget the ads. Forget messages. I have found the best way to recruit members is in game. Don't do it by spamming. Have some fun in the game with a few other players and become acquainted. Then see if they are interested in joining your clan. If you do it that way then they will be more likely to show up at the next clan event. Running ads will simply get people to click join then never bother doing anything in the clan. Don't worry at all about size. Your whole focus needs to be on the clan being active.
Don't shun newer Roblox members (noobs). They are more likely looking for friends to help them have fun on Roblox and learn more about clans and games. Robloxians who have been around for several years already have friends, clans, etc.
Treat people with respect. Be patient with new members and don't expect them to know all the rules right away. Train them on such things. Don't lie to people either. If you promise a promotion then follow through on your promise.
If you get your clan active and members involved then you don't need to worry much about details like uniform, base, and logo. You'll have members that will start discussing that and offering ideas or making those things. Just don't go using some free model base or stealing a uniform. Definitely don't steal a logo.
Well, that is all the tips I have. This is what has worked for me in the past. Feel free to add any more thoughts and ideas below. |
