The Ultimate Guide to the Jardian Empire: ---------------------------------------------------------------- 0- Welcome 1- Laws 2- Ranks 3- Training 4- Subdivisions/Races 5- Enemies
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Getting Started:
What should I do when I join? 1. Get a uniform if you want to join the military. 2. Choose a race for your character. 3. Get to know your commanders by patrolling 4. Read the Guide.
Welcome, Jardia is made for FUN! However, some peoples' fun ruins other peoples', so we have some rules in place, and are as follows below. Jardia is a War Group, and a Roleplay group. Jardia is a country on the continent of Peurotsiil, ruled by what is known as the Jardian Empire. The Empire collapsed once but is under completely new management, while respecting the old lore of Peurotsiil. We are constantly at war with and allies with our frenemy, the Mandorian Empire, occupying the country of Mandor, just north of Jardia. Their relationship is not unlike the one between Sparta and Athens, in real-world history, though at the imperial level, instead of city-state. The Jardian Empire is governed by the military, and all government officials are members of the military. Laws and territory is enforced through military force by whatever means deemed necessary by the military authorities, however, laws are changed by the will of civilians and military members of all ranks voting alike. The civilians provide some resources in return for protection and rule. Because of these features, the government is officially known as an imperial socialist military democracy. Ask a high rank to let you join the military. Jardia switches its main patrol base every week, as we have over 20 exotic fortifications throughout our great land. Jardia will usually have some kind of survey or contest every day or at least every week. Rewards for winning tournaments, contests, or votes can include but are not limited to, being promoted, knighted, getting adopted by nobility, getting your family raised to a Noble House, getting a horse, home, hat, clothing, boat, or money, becoming royalty, or having yourself immortalized in sculpture as prizes.
The Uniforms are mandatory in military service, and can be found in the GROUP STORE. Do not purchase HR armors if you are not of High Rank. If you cannot afford a full set, buy a set of non-HR pants. If you cannot afford any uniform, a special low cost tshirt will be opened and you will have to wear it while turning your body parts red. Uniforms are only mandatory for Jardians on Jardian teams, and Jardian military teams in RP places. Genre-accepted clothing is accepted on non-military RP teams. Accepted Civilian clothes can be found here: http://www.roblox.com/Jardian-Civilian-ClothesT-item?id=129974339-----http://www.roblox.com/Jardian-Civilian-ClothesB-item?id=129974357 OR http://www.roblox.com/Red-Medieval-Belt-Shirt-item?id=116128159-----http://www.roblox.com/K-Rags-Brown-item?id=116630903

------1. LAWS AND RULES: ------------------------------------------------------------------
Every rule, restriction, law, protocol, order, standing order, command, rank, power, alliance, treaty, group, and status is a type of policy that Jardian Empire is engaging in.
BILL OF RIGHTS
Every Jardian has the right to: -Speak his or her mind freely. -Listen at court, and be informed of war, peace, and economic status, excepting issues of security. -Vote -Refuse intrusion of the home by even state officials, unless accompanied by a Council- approved warrant. -Be treated as any other in the eyes of the law, no excessive punishment or harassment. -Sue another Jardian. -The right to carry a weapon.
Prisoners have these rights taken away at the discretion of the severity of the crime committed.
MANDATORY ACTIONS -You must be able to show at least 1 piece of Jardian clothing (shirt or pants) on your person at all Jardian functions including but not limited to: Patrols, RP, and Raids. -You must be in the main Jardian Empire before joining any side groups. -If you run out of group spaces, create an alt called [yourname]'s alt and send and HR a message saying who your alt is, then you can join side groups without being in the main empire. -You must obey the commands of your next highest officer rank (not necessarily the next rank above.) Officer ranks have asterisks (*) next to their ranks. If you are not an officer yet but are the highest rank in the server, you are the leader. -You must testify truthfully in court. -If you are an HR, you must join the Council, and MUST vote in high importance issues within a week of the vote starting- PMs will be sent to all to get a mail in vote. -You must pick 1 military per person within Peurotsiil. If you are in another Peurotsiilic army, you can only join Jardia as a civilian or an ambassador.
PROHIBITED ACTIONS -Unprovoked and revenge killings- all death sentences are to be carried out in active defense of person, or by the discretion of military police, the Royal Guards, or Highly Ranked Jardians. -Stealing (RP) -Lying -Cheating -Exlpoiting/hacking -Ally raiding -Wearing the wrong rank helmet and/or armor -Spamming -Advertising outside groups -Wearing non-Jardian uniforms on-base -Spamming raid warning bells -Admin Abuse* -Authority Abuse* -Exploiting/hacking -Undue punishment -Bribery -Corruption -Joining more than two racial groups -Making threats -Random demotions and exiles/sabotage -Treason* -Sabotage -Disobedience of legal orders -Being in the Jardian military while being in another Peurotsiilic military
*ADMIN ABUSE: -To report Admin Abuse, send a detailed message, preferably with proof, to a HR, the Empress, or the Jardian Science Division, who have Admin Watchers. Do NOT confront the admin abuser more than the initial claim of admin abuse. -Do NOT use admin for fun. -Do NOT use Admin to win fights, make yourself stronger, or to make the enemy weaker. -Do NOT be disruptive. -DO use Admin to enforce rules, and to protect people away from keyboard. -DO use admin only for necessity. -Moderators can teleport with admin, but not during a raid or fight. Use it if you get killed by an assassin, or you get stuck, or the walk is ridiculously long. Otherwise, you can walk. -Do NOT mass teleport or teleport other people without permission from them. -Moderators should kick if: someone is hacking, team killing, exploiting, glitching, spawn killing, spawn room killing, spamming, team switching, or otherwise cheating and breaking rules without responding to orders to cease. -Ban if someone repeatedly attempts above things. -Kill commands are to be used to reset individuals. -Music is acceptable, keep it with the genre, and don't cut peoples' songs short, don't let them go too long though. Disco commands are ok temporarily during non-raid and non-training situations as they make some peoples' eyes hurt. -NO SWAG EVER -Do not use admin in Jefeno Town to quell rebellions. Individuals will be considered team killers if not on the bandits, prisoners, or organized crime teams. However, if a full riot breaks out, and citizens are armed and clashing with the military in numbers greater than 10, it shall be called a rebellion, to be put down without the use of admin. -No using obnoxious gears, have a specific, rule-allowed purpose, its not for making the server Catalog Heaven -Do NOT silence people unless they are spamming. -Punish and freeze commands can be used to temporarily contain unruly behavior.
*Authority abuse: Forcing people to do illegal things by using authority, or using authority powers to commit crimes yourself, such as group sabotage.
*Treason: Actively aiding an enemy during wartime, or actively aiding a force to begin a war, otherwise its just sabotage, not treason.
*****Concerning Enemies: When an enemy is declared, it does not mean Jardia is declaring war on that nation. A personal letter from the Empress/Emperor will accompany a declaration of war to a nation. The Council must approve war, although ultimately the highest authority can order the subordinates to go to war, though they are free to rebel via the Jardian Legion, which will be considered the only legal form of rebellion. Enemies, on the other hand, will be treated as hostiles, at all bases, but not on the Visitor teams, unless a warrant is out for their death or capture. This also lets members know what groups they cannot be in during their membership in Jardia. Enemy group members will not be accepted, even without war. Being an enemy of Jardia does not authorize any Jardian to raid their places (in uniform.) Only Lord Marshalls and above are capable of authorizing offensive raids without permission. If a group not on the enemy list raids Jardia, it will automatically go on the list, a 12 hour standing counterattack is authorized for High Commanders and above. After that, they will be a plain enemy, unless it is clear the attack was friendly and for non-hostile game purposes only. This will usually happen with allies to ensure the attacks are not taken the wrong way. Jardians are also free to join allies in their campaigns as long as it does not interfere with allies of our own. While joining allies, standard rank powers should be enforced, such as knights and above being sought for command. Ally enemies and raids will not be considered Jardia's unless those enemies then come and attack Jardian soil, or if the ally nation specifically requests that we become enemies with their enemy, and the request is approved.
******Rebellion Breaking the Rules is a founding principle of Jardian philosophy. If so, why do we have so many rules then? Well all our rules are made mostly to regulate people in power, but all rules should havea practical reason for them. If the rule is no longer useful or is corrupt, you are encouraged to engage in civil disobedience. Do not rebel over nothing, but sometimes it is the only way to do what is right. Full rebellions will be put down to maintain the peace, but you can legally fight against the Jardian Empire if you do it in the name of the Jardian Legion. If the Jardian Legion loses a rebellion, almost everything will be forgiven if it was done in the name of the Jardian Legion. It is the only form of non-punishable rebellion. However, the goal is to listen to the people and get rid of corruption before a rebellion is even necessary.

---------2. RANKS
Guide to Ranks and Getting Promoted:
Do not ask for promotions Do not get in the way or slow things down Always wear the uniform in Jardian events, every time Obey directions from superiors Do not question superiors during an event, only afterward or talk to their superior Listen to directions the FIRST time Be assertive Be skilled Do not be petty, or pick fights Do not mess around with or annoy others Act mature, even stoic Be polite Be patient Be quiet Have a goal Use proper grammar Participate in Council
Once you reach a certain level, it becomes very important to not let HRs see you slip up in the above-mentioned promotable behavior. Not only must you act like a Jardian, but you must be trained as one...
HRs** use this guide as a rubric for promotion. At the level of MR, you need to be evaluated for skills for each promotion. The LRs are promoted for participation.
☥ Civilian- member of the Empire, entitled to full rights. Highest rank a Peurotsiilian of another military is allowed, other than Ambassador. Ask to join Jardia's military to be promoted to Kantor I. This is the only time you can ask for a rank, no exceptions.
≣ Prisoner- really a slave, a joke and punishment rank, place spies and silly RPers who wish to be human property here. Also for temporary punishment, demotions, and forced labor.
♜⌘♜ Peurotsiilic Auxiliary- members of other Peurotsiilic militaries who want to fight under the Jardian banner as well. This rank is just to be able to accurately keep track of the sizes of the different Empires' militaries, while still allowing people to get the most out of multiple groups.
● Kantor I- Fresh Recruit. Get a uniform, learn our basic rules and culture, prove you can handle a blade and take orders.
◉ Kantor II- Sophomore Recruit. Prove you can perform in open field combat, be decent in fighting and taking complicated orders.
☉ Kantor III- Junior Recruit. Learn standard formations and commands without delay or explanation.
Ⓧ Kantor IV- Senior Recruit. Be a leader to your peers and exceed expectations.
☼ Vanguard- Standard Jardian front lines soldier. Active and passes basic troop tests, they serve on the front lines to make way for the rest of the army. Vanguards and above may join the Royal Guards. Must be trained in navy at least once to become a MR, from there you will be placed based on your individual choice and skill in archery/scouting, melee fighting, or command/politics.
❖ Squire- MR rank for people who want to train or lead armies- begin to get introduced to higher learning, and assisting individuals like Knights and HRs. If you do not have a master, find one quickly or you might not be able to advance. You need your knight's approval to even be eligible for promotion. You must follow directions nearly perfectly, and know the rules and how to protect your master in battle, as you will be part of a 4-man squad, with a knight at the command. You will be hand picked by a knight or higher rank, but you must be offering your services to be noticed. If you serve well, you will be considered fit to lead. This goes for all MRs.
➶ Ranger- People who are great archers, scouts, and information specialists- you must be rather nimble at obbies and archery to pass this stage. You will be responsible for spreading and gathering info.
♆ Reaver- Medium rank for melee-specialized warriors. Must have an average KDR of 2:1 to even qualify.
♘ Knight- An epic warrior and small-time officer, knighted for his or her dutiful and/or heroic service. 1st rank able to start a Noble House (family name.) The name will be recorded as a lesser noble house, until it overtakes a major noble house, or if there are not enough greater noble houses. A knight’s powers allow him to command up to 3 men (acting squires) of lesser rank any time in combat, forming a personal squad. A knight can, in actuality have as many squires as possible, but in battle, can only command 3 directly (unless they are the highest rank present.) The goal of the squad is to get the knight, who should have above average combat skills, to his or her destination safely. Knights serve as the heavy hitters and elite army corps. Knights can host trainings, but can only give promotion recommendations for HRs to review. They can also pick any MR to become their squad mates, given they have met the requirements for promotion. It is a knight's duty to perform well in combat, command small squads well, train men in basic trainings, and personally train their selected squires in small or one-on-one trainings. They must be active in training others and have been in cavalry and naval training at least once before promotion.
‡ Housecarl- To be a Housecarl, you must show you’re a knight of extreme loyalty, a good leader, and a good and frequent trainer. You are now a petty officer, able to command in the absence of higher commanders, even in raids, but they cannot initiate offensive raids. Also obligated to hold trainings and promote people based on this guide. Housecarl is a personal assistant (squire) to a Thane or Thanes, and should consider Thanes their direct commanders and targets in the field. Housecarls should train lots of LRs. Housecarls should be very familiar with how to train in all types of combat. They must hold multiple trainings on land, mount, and sea in order to be eligible for a promotion. The Thane test is given to Housecarls who are ready to be evaluated for promotion. This is the highest rank most can hope to get to, and is still extremely honorable. A Housecarl is essentially the bodyguard and second-in-command of a learning commander (Thane.)
♗ Allied Ambassador (AA) is simply a representative of an allied group. They have no authority, but have numerous legal protections to prevent clan clashing. Under most circumstances, they must follow our laws, but cannot be punished for breaking them. Disruptive behaviors will result in removal of players from the server, but no permanent sanctions, unless the disruptive actions call to remove the alliance.
☯ Hero- A special rank for a range of uses from rewards for heroic deeds to a non-military position such as elder, builder, scripter, or etc. They have no military authority but are authorized to use admin within appropriate uses *see Admin Abuse.
✬ Thane- First military rank able to use admin. They serve primarily as junior commanders learning how to apply everything they know to leadership. This, and being extremely active are the most important aspects of this rank. Thanes are entrusted with keeping order in the city, and organizing defense and patrols, while the other HRs can focus on war and politics. They are automatically Guard Captains, and are learning how to keep order and command troops on their own. Learn to be a seasoned, honest, and trustworthy commander. They cannot initiate offensive raids by themselves, and are concerned with defense organization and ability to induce group activity to prove their worth. In order to advance, Thanes must be trained personally by higher ranks, and then voted on by the HRs and Housecarls to become a candidate. Candidates must be approved by general popular vote. Keeping servers active and populated by holding trainings and patrols will be the main activity Thanes should engage in, and they need to do it without making too many mistakes. Good HRs do not let enemies manipulate or trick them into. The emphasis for Thanes is still definitely on defense and populating native servers. Thanes and Lord Commanders need to keep the group active so the higher ranks have the resources they need to focus on how to help the group. It is a helpful cycle. Duties include managing the Guards, hosting trainings, hosting patrols, coordinating defense, getting experience commanding in offense, and keeping servers active. *Thanes are authorized to call a counter-raid immediately following a raid defense only.
ϟ*ϟ Lord Commander- Lords of Jardia who specialize in leadership and commanding troops in battle, functioning as high Generals. The first rank able to issue standing orders, or changes in those orders. This means they primarily command off the field, and control troops by making Empire-wide military orders, while lower HRs tend to make specific orders to the men directly. Training troops should be the priority during peacetime, training HRs and engaging/building battle strategy should be the priority in wartime. Can decide to raid an enemy any time after they get an authorization that expires in 1 week from the JoW, or the Emperor. This is a diplomatic and military position. Like the ranks above it, it requires not only competence but constant activity, as it is among the highest honors, and responsibilities of Jardia. They are often the highest authority present, as only the Jardeka of War and the Empress have military authority over Lord Commanders. To obtain this rank, you must be a division leader, and be competent in offensive raid command. Exceptions can be made and Thanes who are simply active, skilled, and popular commanders can be appointed by council. Known as LC.
】۩【 Jardeka of Justice- Supreme Legal Authority- directs the actions of the Council, and can judge any case. Supposed to coordinate weekly council meetings and bring up issues requiring their attention. If the Emperor is not present, this Jardeka still needs to set up meetings, and then send summaries to the Emperor. The 1st Royal Guards are mainly under this command, as the Supreme Enforcer of Laws. Focus is on defense and keeping order. This rank has the final say over discipline, punishments, and normal promotion/demotion reversals. Known as JoJ.
】۩【 Jardeka of Balance- Human Resources Authority- basically in charge of keeping sidegroups, the wall, and the shout active and up to date and informational. Also directs the education of HRs and scholars and keeps things active. The main duties that need to get done by this Jardeka is expansion and proliferation of information. This includes bringing activity and advertising to the sidegroups, as well as making sure the entire Empire's rank structure is being informed of new policies, changes, Shout information, and subdivision info, in addition to all rank-related information. Mandatory actions include holding constant Church worships, making sure shouts are up-to-date, maintaining rank training standardization through testing, etc. It is in charge of the University/Academy as a HR training oversight. Known as JoB.
】۩【 Jardeka of War- Supreme Military Authority- is given full permission to authorize offensive raids, declare wars and enemies, and decide officiality. This does not include the right to undeclare enemies, or to negotiate with enemies. This position should be aggressively dedicated to the martial situations and how best to act soonest and safest, as well as how to intimidate the enemy through force. Focus is on offensive measures and foreign policy. While this Jardeka cannot make or break alliances or rivalries, it can suggest and negotiate to the point of actually accepting terms. Only the Emperor can represent Jardia ultimately. Rule over all military divisions, except the RG, where limited control over Druids and Guards will usually be an option. Often thought of as the lead Lord Marshall. This rank has the final say on troop placement. Known as JoW.
☭♕ Emperor/Empress- The director of all Jardian affairs, and the only one who has a final say over the Jardekas' final say. All ranks must obey every legal command given by the Emperor/Empress. Main duty is as the Supreme Warchief, much like the duty of Commander-in-Chief, and should be focused on the general health of Jardia over all concerns. This usually means keeping the armies happy, strong, and active. But not only is this rank the Warchief, but is directly in charge of managing architecture, politics, diplomacy, technology, and virtually every aspect of the group, and is the undeniable figurehead of Jardia, who is the ultimate person to speak on behalf of Jardia, meaning it is the only rank that decides or accepts foreign policy and foreign agreements to their finality. This person needs to be the spirit of Jardia and absolutely corruption free or further legal restrictions will be necessary. This rank has the final say on anything that isn't already illegal, or can be voted on legally, or vetoed by a Jardeka. This rank can veto just about anything though, but changes to the laws or policies can be vetoes by Jardekas, or voted on by the other ranks.
GUARDS
1st Royal Guards: Essentially military police of Jardia. Only they are authorized to keep order by giving out punishments, and are a constantly active elite branch of the army. You MUST wear your GUARD SASH and uniform when doing guard duty. To join, act like a guard, and you may be picked to join, or catch a random guarding tryout. All guards are hand-picked by HRs/Guard Captains. If you are known to be good at guarding, you will be noticed and accepted into the Guard Force by people who have witnessed your skill and dedication. Their ranks are as follows:
-City Guard- Guard places and patrol the city, a trial guard. List is cleared every week, just before another recruitment.
-Golden Guard- A competent, dedicated guard. Basically the MAIN GUARD. They need to be able to identify the highest-priority target in the server at any given time all by themselves.
-Crimson Guard- Personal guards of the Empress or Jardekas, have to be hand picked. They have authority and street cred over Golden Guards. This is one of the highest honors obtainable, even more than a Guard Captain, because of the skill and dedication involved in earning this rank, even though it must obey HRs who may be less skilled in fine combat.
-Guard Captain- directs guards in the field. Basically, just gives positions and trains guards.
-HVT- High Value Target- guards protect at any cost.
-State Druid- Spy masters, close guards and advisors of HRs, usually HRs themselves. They are mysterious, well-connected, and reliable, but have a much more flexible guarding regimen. A druid is more likely to guard from afar, picking our suspicious activity from the crowd and stopping it stealthily before it becomes a problem.
CHURCH
Monk- Learner of gods and patience (BP)
Priest- Expert in the gods to be promoted from monk. They are supposed to hold worships at the Mother Temple every week or day. (CP)
Blood Druid- Knows about the deepest mysteries- a battle priest to psych up the troops and deliver messages across raging battles. Skilled in leading, holy rituals, giving personal advice, getting pumped up, and agility. Basically the leaders of the group, along with Paladins and High Priest. (CP)
Holy Knight- Upholder of all that is righteous in the eyes of the gods. A decent and kind warrior. Must understand all that one must give up in order to be a cold killing machine to defend the people. Must be a true knight in the main group to rank up from monk. (WP)
Demolitions Experts- Mostly defensive since they rely on explosives, and are in charge of repairing machinery and mechanisms, but are charged with studying any technical aspect like machinery or special weapons or traps or vehicles of the home bases, but also the enemy bases marked for offensive raids. Their role in battle is to inflict mass carnage with explosives or sabotage, and learn about Jardian and enemy machinery in order to exploit or fix weaknesses in the design. (WP)
Berserker- Reliable killstreakers- the Empress' personal elite task force- not necessarily always on the front lines, but extremely good at clearing out groups of people and taking out formidable foes. Able to be totally calm in all situations until releasing the berserker rage after the Berserker Ritual performed by Blood Druids just prior to battle. These guys are good at dodging arrows and swordsmen, and excel at melee combat. Separate from the Guards and the Army because they are an offensive small strike force used for simple brute force. (WP)
Paladin- The absolute pinnacle of a warrior, perfected. The paladin is legendary, honorable, a leader in the community and on the field, perfect patience, vast intelligence, and nearly unbeatable with a sword. Same power to command the church as a Blood Druid. Paladins have the most glory of any warrior rank of any Jardian group. (WP)
*WP= Warrior's Path CP= Cleric's Path, BP= Balanced Path
Naval, air force, and cavalry ranks will be based purely on your skill level, and will have simplified rank structuring based more upon role tactics and roleplaying.
COUNCIL
-Voters- help vote and discuss, any Jardian who applies to vote. -Large Council- includes experienced ranks and members. -Small Council- includes ranks and members with advice most important to the Empress. -Foreign Minister- has the authority to make alliances from neutral groups only, Jardeka of War or Emperor has the authority to negotiate with the enemy. -Headsman- decides petty punishments. -Public Clerk- Defends the accused. -State Clerk- Prosecutes the accused, gathers cases and sues the accused on behalf of the "victim." -Council Leader/Jardeka/Emperor- Decides big cases, gathers cases and suits.
-----------------Promotions and Accepting Join Requests:------------------ Whenever an HR is deciding whether to promote, he/she must go through the list and decide what requirements are met for each individual up for promotion at a training or raid. If the individual does not fit these rank descriptions, inform them what they need to work on so they can advance.
When Accepting Join Requests to the Empire, investigate recruits for being enemies or spies. See the Enemies section, #5, at the bottom for a detailed spy vetting process.
