Not only that, you're being very open with it.
Just why? Yes, I understand there may be some moments where he says or does things not acceptable or considered up to standards with society, but everybody just chill out. |

It was more of a small leave of absence (I think I said it right). |

For some reason I am attracted to this analogy. |

It is a good one. There is a sense of truth in it. Not only of C&G, but the internet in general. |

@Arch
I think you have been brainwashed by America.
This place we resign in is currently bickering constantly about confrontations that can be easily resolved. America doesn't look to be progressive. They have constantly regressed since Reagan. This has been our past and this is our future. |

Gavin, we provided assistance.
It wasn't our war; we were just "investing".
We saw it was a bad investment because of bleeding-hearted liberals and cashed out.

@Crimson
At first, we tried to restore it's imperialistic ties with France, yet France still pulled out.
Not only that, after Johnson refused to run for the next presidency, Nixon put in more troops when he promised to pull many out.
If it was a full on war or not, we still got our butts handed to us on a silver platter. |

Not only that, there are those who need to realize:
*It was more of a precaution than anything due to the whole Domino Theory.
*The biggest reason we came in was because of the whole attack of the USS Maddox reports, which afterwards Congress granted President Lyndon Johnson full powers of controlling the war with little to no consent from them. That is why today we have the War Powers Act. |

@vdude
The thing though is that they were willing to do that. Mao Zedong (I think I spelled that right) was willing to contribute several casualties for one of our casualties for the cause of spreading Communist ideas into South Vietnam.
Look at where they are now. (They took over South Vietnam if you didn't know, thus making them a unified Communist Vietnam.) |
