| And be a good creator, i know alot of scripting but i want to teach my brother how long would it take for me to teach him everything (days,weeks,months,years) |

it depends on your teaching skill and his learning ability
i taught people nearly the entire language in a few weeks |

You can learn the syntax of Lua fairly quickly, but computer programming itself is a much broader and more complex field. It takes a year or two to become a decent scripter, but it takes many years beyond that to become a professional programmer. I've learned mostly every trick I've been able to squeeze from Lua, but I'm still quite a ways from graduating from amateur status.
To answer OP's question, it may take awhile before your brother can make anything worthwhile from scripting. It's a worthwhile investment, but just be aware that learning it is no piece of cake. I'd estimate a couple weeks before making basic games, at the very least. |
