Step 1: Watch for the EAS or the news. Youll get alerted. Step 2: Driving isnt a safe solution. As the EAS Says, "Don't try to outrun a tornado..." Step 3: Know what type of tornado it is. They range from F0 to F6. Step 4: Study the wind speed of the type of your tornado. This way youll know if you will be able to outwit the tornado. Step 5: If you can outwit it, Gather your stuff up. Possibly pack it in a UHAUL Van. Step 6: If you cant outrun it, Get your pets and important junk downstairs in a windowless room. NOW. Step 7: If all your rooms have windows, Gather your stuff, Load it in a UHAUL Van and go the other direction of the tornado. Be speedy though!! Step 8: If you have a family with over 2 (you and someone else) people, And your using the UHAUL Van method, Have the rest go hide under some furniature in the back. Step 9: If your trapped in your basement, Lay down, Put your hand over your head. Do not do this above a window. Step 10: If youve outran the tornado, Listen to the radio to see if the tornado is gone. If your whole town is wiped out, Go live in another state/city. Step 11: If your trapped in a house where every room has a window, Just crouch under a bed, chair or couch.
